Awesome, Versatile System for Noisy Off-Road Activities
I ordered this so we as a family could have a normal conversation while driving around in our HMMWV. Just to go with the look, I purchased 4 CVC new old stock military tank helmet liner communication headsets. I purchased the headsets before I decided which intercom system I was going with. I researched many, and narrowed it down to a couple. After reaching out to Rugged Radios with some questions, I knew this was the system I was going to get. They happily answered all of my questions and set me on the right path to connecting my headsets to the 696+. Long story short, I was able to buy all I needed, researched the proper pinouts for everything and after building the harnesses, I have a perfectly working intercom system that plays music from my phone, has a perfectly working VOX system for talking to all the passengers and with the Kenwood radio adapter connected to my Baofeng VHF, I can talk to others in our riding group. I couldn't ask for anything more and am super stoked about this purchase.
