Easy, effective and economical
Did my first clean on my Gaggia Classic, Cafiza is very easy to use and pretty economical as you only use half a teaspoon each time.Flushing process is easy and there isnโt a hint of residue or smell once done. Happy to recommend.

Better value than tablets!
Bought a bottle of this due to getting much better gram per ยฃ spent than the equivalent tablets. I can only assume they clean as well as each other (which is well)

Cleaned my severly blocked reusable metal aeropress filter perfectly!
I bought this after I started finding my aeropress was getting harder and harder to plunge.I mistakenly thought the reusable metal aeropress filter I use would always be fine as long as you rinsed it after use, but I think I might have been grinding my coffee too finely or something because when I finally held the filter up to the light to look at the holes in the filter I realised >90% of them were completely blocked!I tried soaking it over night with regular washing up liquid, putting it through the dishwasher, soaking it in boiling water etc... but nothing really cleared it, the majority of the filter holes remained blocked. I didn't want to use any harsher chemicals like oven cleaner (which I'd seen recommended online somewhere) and after a lot of searching I found this. One over night soak with a teaspoon of this dropped into boiling water cleaned the filter better than all the other steps I tried combined! Only a few holes in the filter remain blocked but that doesn't really bother me.I will try and do regular filter maintenance with this from now on, one tub is huge, I expect to have enough in this to last me for years! If you work in a professional setting or have specialised coffee equipment that gets used heavily, this is probably the stuff you want to be using! Totally overkill for my situation, but like I said, I have enough here to last me for years of home use.

WARNING about this Product
FYI, Active ingredient is Sodium Hydroxide or better know as Caustic Soda, DO NOT use on alloy parts such as alloy portafilters and NEVER use as a descaler in your machine. โTHIS PRODUCT IS NOT A DESCALERโItโs Safe on Stainless Steel parts only and wear gloves and eye protection.Otherwise it works well, also caustic soda is cheaper to buy.

The only espresso cleaning chemicals
This is the only brand of coffee cleaning chemical I would use. Cafiza is constantly shown in YouTube and coffee videos, and it is trusted by many coffee users. The bottle comes in a good size and should last a very long time, because you only need to use a small amount of powder each time. Considering how little you need per use, the price is not the main concern โ the reliability of the brand is more important.

AMAZING cleaner for coffee equipment and "special glassware" ;)
As far as coffee equipment goes, I have a very basic Starbucks Barista espresso machine. I soaked the espresso brewhead and my grounds spoon in a solution of water and this detergent and everything got incredibly clean (see one of my pics). As far as I understand it you're not supposed to run this stuff *through* a basic espresso machine like mine, so I use a separate descaler for that Cleancaf Cleaner for Home Coffee and Espresso Equipment, 3 Pack (0.33oz each). I also inadvertently got a photo that illustrates just how powerful this stuff is: I noticed that my to go coffee cup looked a little stained on the bottom, so I filled the cup like 1/3 full with hot water and put a half teaspoon or so of this detergent in. I let it sit for a few minutes and rinsed it out. That's one of my pics -- to my surprise I didn't even realize that the entire inside of my cup had gotten stained! That's why you can see brilliant shiny metal at the bottom and now obviously stained nasty metal near the top. I repeated the process but filled the cup all the way to the top and voila, the cup looked brand new and my coffee tasted better after that. That's the last pic. I will now periodically clean my to go cups and thermoses with this detergent since it's so powerful.About "special glassware": I'm not going to upload any pics, but here in Colorado one might ingest a certain newly-legal substance through various glass (or other material) paraphernalia. That paraphernalia can get famously gunky and impossible to clean -- UNTIL NOW. Simply soak the paraphernalia in a solution of this product dissolved in hot water and wait 20 minutes or so. ALL of the gunk will just slide out from inside the device -- maybe with a tiny bit of jostling. But seriously, no scrubbing or pipe cleaners are necessary any more. One warning: I don't know if this product takes paint off of glass, so you might want to test it on something first. Of course, a high quality handblown glass device shouldn't have any paint on it, so you're probably good to go.Lastly you get a TON of this product for a reasonable price, so I'll be cleaning plenty of stuff and one container will last a long time I imagine.
