Ham-fisted tenant knocks switch off cooker. Sent them these in hope that they had 4 goes to get it right for 1 switch - and they did, first time. Working well and cheaper than getting a repair man out. Just remember to work out where you need to switch "pointing" to match the function you left last the oven on.

So, if you’re unfussy these replacement cooker knobs are a pretty good buy compared to the outrageous pricing of manufacturer’s original equipment. My cooker was secondhand (third or 4th ownership even) so spending £35 to replace a missing cooker knob plus delivery charges seemed a bit of a rip off to me.For £8.99, you get 4 very lightweight, very plain and rather basic cooker knobs. Compared to the original knobs, they even feel flimsy when attached. But that fixing is at least secure enough with the provided ‘shaft spindle’ adapters. At first I thought the knob adapter things weren’t going to do the job. I couldn’t believe it as there were so many different lengths and sizes. But I found the one that actually seemed to do the job more or less totally soundly and it was just the one that was needed although it was perhaps too close a call for comfort. I initially felt I’d need to adapt the adaptor and glue stuff together or something.Anyway, on my old white Cannon Salisbury gas cooker, I now have the ability to turn on the smallest gas ring that I’ve never used until now. That means I can use a small saucepan whilst I boil up me spuds or whatnot on one of the larger rings. All thanks to Amazon and how easy it is to find stuff you hadn’t thought to look for on their site before. Easy as in there are things Amazon sells that you wouldn’t have realised they’d actually supply, albeit indirectly sometimes.So, I have 3 spare knobs. They’re all plain with no markings. I could maybe try and use a marker pen to put indicators on them. I think I saw you can buy sticker kits for some types of cooker knob but none of them matched what I have. I didn’t use all 4 knobs and replace the existing knobs on my cooker as the originals are so much better quality and far more robust. If I had a shiny new cooker that I was proud of I would probably just bite the bullet and pay over the odds for the manufacturer’s expensive replacement knob but not if I had to buy 6 of them or something crazy like that.

Not the strongest plastic I have ever seen, but does the job on my storage heater output control (which is the one that requires quite a bit of force). Had lots of adapters so should fit most things, especially with a drop of glue if necessary.

Perfect, selection of fittings for universal use .

I give these 2 stars because they did fit a BEKO cooker. However I have an oven and grill combined. As soon as I used the oven/grill they promptly melted. Who makes oven knobs out of low temperature plastic? Sheer idiocy.

We buy these every two years as you can't stop a big pan on the front burners from charring the knob and with these we can keep the cooker looking OK
