No regrets! Great tool
Does the job well and pass through is so much easier. Good tool, looks good, well priced and nicely sharp. I found the cut and strip part of the tool tricky to use (my problem I expect) so ended up using the pliers that come with the set but after that the crimping was great. The tool solved the faulty connection I had.

Professional finish
This is brilliant. I have purchased cheaper tools for this job and they are OK, but not great. This one is great. The build quality is nice and the crimp tool is a nice weight. Slightly heavier than the cheaper ones. Its simple to use and has the colour code reminder on the handle. When you complete the crimp, you are left with a perfect trim and strong connected plug. The cables are trimmed perfectly to the front of the rj45 plug, leaving a finish like a factory purchased lead.

I recommend for a starting kit
Great overall you can tell it’s basic but it works so I can’t complain crimping works all the time easy to use the connecters that come with it could be better good values for everything you get with it and stripping the cable is good but just don’t hold the hand hard down cause it will cut through 23AWG cable quite easily.

Worked great!
Ordered this to fix a cable that was under the floor so really didn't want to have to try and replace the entire wire, had previous experience a couple decades ago trying to crimp connectors on and remember it being an absolute nightmare. Aside from the problem that I had of the broken cable was only using 4 of the 8 wires in the old connector and the wires not being in the correct order (although amazingly the device it was connecting still worked), using this tool I managed to connect the new connecter with all the wires in the correct order (had to of course do both ends) and tested it with the included tester which told me I had done it properly. Plugged it back into where it should and everything worked. Yes the tester itself does feel a bit cheap, when it has a battery in and you move the tester about you can hear the battery move slightly. But really what do you expect at this price? It works, does the job its meant to with minimal fuss. The crimping pass through tool works a treat. The section to strip the cable works perfectly on the cable I used it on, the pass through crimping section worked great. Bottom line: Wouldn't hesitate to use again and recommend to friends. If you are looking for a tool like this just order this one.

From novice to expert in 3 brief attempts - excellent tool
I've never done anything with ethernet cables before and after my first attempt I found it fiddly, awkward and next-to impossible. I was ready to give up and forget the whole idea. But once I figured out how to straighten the wrinkly wires (pinch the wire between your thumb and something hard / straight and pull - it's that easy) I produced an okay second attempt, and my third attempt was as good as any fitting I've ever seen. In short, it's a surprisingly easy skill to acquire and you'll go from novice to expert in minutes. The clippers seem a nice quality, the fittings all worked without issue, the testing device was easy to use and dependable, and the crimper was delightfully straight forward - a very well thought out tool. With this kit and a spool of Cat6 cable, I was able in one weekend to install an excellent 150Mbps home network that was neat and reliable.

Cut is useless, Strip is useless but it does crimp/slice
It's cheap without a doubt, reason I purchased this is because you get extras with it otherwise would cost £10 more. I cut the cable with the "manual" crimper (basic one you get) which cuts the cable much better whereas this one doesn't cut properly (assume it's not sharp enough as it goes all the way down). Assume that the "bug" here is that it wasn't tested on cat6 as those now have plastic in to separate the cables making it harder for a blade to cut. I strip with the orange/yellow item, so much easier, the one that comes with it I don't like but I also don't like the one on the manual crimper, YouTube video shows how easy it is to do, it comes with that item. The rest I haven't looked at yet as I have a separate cable tester, with the passthrough it's a lot easier as I used to do it without but that was a long time ago and now I struggle without using passthrough! (Also forgot about it needing to be the same both ends) Anyway, it does the job, but quality does suck a bit and other people saying it's a skill issue and I'd also agree because of the way in which they were doing it (cables not pulled etc). With passthrough I use the one by one method. So, I'd recommend this if you just want a cheap crimp tool for passthrough RJ45s otherwise I'd get a proper one if you are using this a lot. In summary, it's a cheap chinese copy of the proper item and the quality isn't great but it does the job that you really need (I can apply this logic to other items... Where the basic saying is, you get what you pay for).

Great so far! Much better than my old-school crimper
The crimper is great. I love how compact it is, and the pass-through cutting worked perfectly. Will likely never pull out my old crimper again now that I have this one. The pass-through rj45 connectors are probably good enough, but likely won't be using them. The cable tester works great (had to return a different pack from another seller because 1/2/5 would never light up on my or retail cables), all cables testing great with this one. The pliers are kind of a throw-away item, honestly. Only negative of the pack, but for the price, I'm not too worried about them. All in all, very happy with my purchase.
