Dremel Multi Vice
This is a fantastic bit of kit. It's very handy the way you can quickly alter the direction of the jaws using the ball socket. Very user-friendly. It clamps easily to my 60mm thick bench. I particularly like the way I can attach my Dremel 4000 and 8200 to it. I find myself smiling every time I use it! As some people have mentioned, the materials the vice is made out of may be problematic for some uses. Around two thirds of the vice is plastic or nylon. Just try to imagine what you may need this for and bear in mind these limitations before purchasing and you are less likely to be disappointed. This is perfect for its intended use - hobby level jobs in conjunction with the Dremel range. If you want to cut large or chunky pieces of metal or wood with a saw I would suggest you look elsewhere. However, if you are a model maker I can't imagine a job this could not handle. Even a pro level model maker would benefit from having this in their workshop as an additional vice. I have three other vices, all for different tasks, so I suppose I am not the average reviewer here who may be looking for a tool that can handle any job. I certainly don't think this is a vice that can do that. Obviously, it would be better if made entirely of metal, but pay a great deal more and you can have that. This is a very versatile - and in my opinion well designed - vice that can handle a large array of tasks so long as you keep in mind the limitations. In other words, try not to over-tighten anything or stress the jaws with heavy objects. Just use common sense really. As an example: I had to cut through some 10mm bolts. Usually, I would have put the bolt in a vice and then use a Dremel to cut the bolt. With this vice and its materials in mind, it was a more sensible approach to attach the Dremel to the vice and hand hold the bolt against the cutting wheel. That way I didn't damage the jaws of the vice by trying to get a tight grip of a metal bolt in delicate rubber jaws. Two bolts were cut perfectly in about a minute with no damage to myself or the vice! Well worth the money and a pleasure to use. I also bought the workstation at the same time. Both are valued additions to my studio. If you are an artist or maker and use Dremels, these are both essential - and I reckon both are very reasonably priced.

Multiple uses
A really useful tool for model making,as with dremel products it’s well made and is really versatile, I can use it as a holder for my dremel lite and use sanding and polishing attachment’s, the main vice has removable jaw protectors , I can angle it in any position so that is useful for a small work bench, I can have the work piece in front of me and when not in use I can simply swing it to one side when not in use , I can remove the vice from the stand and use it on the work bench, adjustment of the jaws is easy with a hand screw and quick move button, it holds to the bench with a hand screw and comes with a protective pad to prevent making marks on your table,All in all it’s good for light hobbies but if you need to be doing heavy work get a metal vice.

A real grabber
This is an excellent product; versatile and effective. It is ideal for occasional jobs, as it attaches quickly and securely, and the ball joint makes positioning things really easy. The capacity to hold large objects (about 180mm) is very useful, as most vices cannot do this. However, I feel that there is a bit too much plastic in its construction - for example, in the screw thread which closes the vice jaws - and this causes a slight lack of rigidity, and may wear quickly; of course, it does keep the cost down. I was also disappointed that the supplied adaptor did not fit my (old) Dremel tool, but this is a minor issue. If you have a Dremel, you need this!

Well designed. Quick/easy to adjust. Isn't as sturdy as it could be, but for that there are better to vice tools.
Cannot rate this highly enough for anyone who does any model work or intricate carving, etc. Very versatile, great build quality, and multi-functional (1) clamp/vice alongside (2) a static holder for Dremel tool to allow both hands to bring material to the Dremel rather than other way round. I would say that with being a lot of plastic/rubber involved, it's not super strong but then if that's what you need you'd use a proper metal vice. This is more handy for when you're doing small model work in indoors (not necessarily a garage/workshop environment for which there may well be better tools available). The ball joint is really easily loosened and reorientated which is great versatility for when you want to move the material you're working on around quickly and efficiently. The button and turn-screw clamp mechanism is also very handy because you can use the button to quickly put the jaws semi-tight to the product and then turn-screw the handle for that tight clamp force required. The rubber jaws can be removed for the sturdier grip on something you're not so worried about marking with excessive force.

Superb versatility in a desktop vice
While this allows me to mount my Dremel tool in a really handy Dremel designed vice, its a totally brilliant desk vice for anyone that may not have a Dremel already. Its a little bigger than I expected, but in a good way. The way that the vice securely mounts to my desk work area is brilliant, and the range of movement and adjustment is just great. Totally recommend one of these., with or without a Dremel.

Better than you would think
Before buying I was a little concerned about the amount of plastic used (and there is a lot) but I am very happy. The vice is well made and easy to setup and use. The plastics used are strong and well cast but not designed for heavy duty use. Great for modelling and electrical jobs though. Has an attachment to mount a dremel rotary tool turning it into a fixed grinding/cutting station. I am looking into some form of mini router table.

Great Vice - Well worth the money
It is a little ungainly to handle but it is so versatile I am sure I will use it frequently. Particularly useful is the ability to a clamp a Dremmel to the unit, allowing the rotating end to be positioned in almost any position. The vice has a quick release and removable soft and fixed hard jaws allowing it to secure items without damage. I love the ball clamp that allows the vice to rotate. A very clever, stable and ingenious product. Perhaps it would not be capable of working heavy metal or be suitable for really tought tasks.

Great vice for my electronics workbench
Super, super handy vice with many configurations. The clamping part of this vice is made of plastic, so it is most suitable for light hobby work, electronics and crafting. Being able to easily mount the Dremel on it is great. I have this mounted on my electronics workbench and use it a lot for soldering boards and other tasks. It’s so versatile, I love it.
