Revell 03941 F-4J Phantom II 1:72 Scale Unbuilt/Unpainted Plastic Model Kit

This is a classic aircraft and the kit produced by Revell is very detailed and easy to assemble. Produces a very nice end result and with most Revell kits they are very affordable.

I found this harder to build than the air fix models but it’s realistic and I had fun building it.

I wonted one of these in the 1970s, this seemed a good buy at £17. Nice sharp decals, instructions seem straight forward, pity not in colour, but, photos on side of the box as a reference. Box is side opening , I prefer lid opening. The body, wings are fine, but, flash on smaller parts. Should be a good build.

Product seemed okay but there was no delivery packaging and the postage labels were stuck to the actual product box. Removed the labels carefully but it damaged the box. This was a present for someone so it didn’t look great with parts of the box ripped off.

This is the old monogram kit reboxed by Revell. The detail is decent but it's raised (its actually fine and looks good) I've built the Airfix f4 and this stands up well considering the price difference. The decals are decent and go on well given its age the fit is really good. Mine had 4 tiny sink marks on the fuselage which were easily filled otherwise it didn't need any filler. There are drop tanks bombs and missiles to fit. Overall well worth the money.

Perfect for my boy this Christmas, he loved it, and a decent size too...exactly the model and decals off the Warthunder game. Perfect 👌

Good model. Would have liked some alternative squadron markings. Only bad thing is that all the numbering is completely random; I guess to minimise plastic but a real pain. Some bits required quite a bit of trimming but it is a model!

Revell model kits are always good but the model I am still chasing for my collection is the F-4E Phantom II in service with the RAAF.
