I’m so picky about notebooks! These are a great deal, durable, good size and a lot of paper. The paper is nice, the notebook and pretty and the quality for the price is great. Comes with two!!!

I started my fountain pen journey with the pens. Then I moved to the inks; now I am at the paper. There's so much to discover about how each interacts with each other to create the perfect writing experience (or fail to do so). Looking around at the options for journaling, there are so many options available, although most seem to be in the A5 size. For my journaling I prefer the slightly larger B5 size, which gives me the desired mix of portability and writing surface.Of course, when it comes to journals, you can spend what you want to spend-- some of the options are more than $40 each! That usually comes down to paper quality and other notebook characteristics which might be objectively nicer in many aspects (and if money is no object), but leaves me looking for options which will hopefully give a good balance of characteristics and at a better value.The value proposition is where I think these notebooks shine. Their sturdy, hard cover bindings would work well in a bag or a backpack where soft-cover options would get more knocked about. The paper isn't the quality of options at 5-10x the price, but I've found it decently well-behaved with fountain pens. I have not encountered bleed-through, although (somewhat strangely) I've experienced the most ghosting from my F nib.The 120 gsm paper is thick and sturdy but also adds some extra weight and bulk. That made it slightly taller and more awkward for writing at the beginning of the notebook, but the binding and pages mostly lay open and flat. The paper doesn't appear to be coated, is generally smooth, and the ink absorbs quickly with no feathering, though my M nib pens seem to put down a thicker line than some of the lighter (~85 gsm) Japanese papers I've used. The paper is decently white, with just a touch of ivory to make it easier on the eyes. I don't notice as much ink shading with this paper as I do with some others, but that is not as important to me.In all, these notebooks offer a great blend of features at a good value. You can spend what you want to spend, but if you want to spend less, it would probably be hard to find a better option at this price point.

The pages feel nice and thick and are an ivory/off-white color.For those, like me, who care about this kind of thing:Page measurements 18.5cm by 25cmIn the dotted pages there are 36 dots across and 49 dots down.So a full spread would be 72 dots across and 49 down.It's a pretty good sized hard cover notebook.Very pretty.Pages are not numbered.Good value for the prize.Can be used for many things considering it's large and the dots are farely light. Could be used as a notebook or a sketch book. I'm planning on using it as a catch-all journal.

Two books in one package for the price of ONE? You betcha. This is a great price for B5 journals. I got the dotted ones. I Love them so much. I am using them in a series of journals. Will keep purchasing as long as the dotted are available. They lay flat even being hardcover. The cover itself is beautiful florals. Very nice.

Loving these notebooks! I have been journaling every day since January 20th in little A5 journals. I got tired of going through them so quickly, so I decided to go up in size and I'm glad I did! I love that it comes in a set of 2. They are really pretty hardcover notebooks that lie flat when writing. The paper/writing quality is nice- I'm using highlighters and Paper Mate InkJoy Fine Point Gel Pens (0.5mm) with no bleed through. While these don't have elastic pen holders attached, they do have an elastic band that goes around the outside of the notebooks. Very happy with these and would purchase again.

Not the best binding but a great price for two journals, I would purchase again.

I have been looking for a bullet journal for weeks that fit everything I wanted. After hours of Amazon searching, I finally found this! I am VERY picky with my journals. I wanted a hardcover, a 7x10 size, thick paper that wouldn’t bled, not have an bazillion pages, and one that would lay 180, and didn’t cost a fortune. This fit everything description! And it came with 2! So now I have one for next year as well! It shadows a little bit with my black Tombow twintone marker but I can live with it. No bleeding. I gave it 4 stars because the cover came damaged. I was able to put scotch tape over it and it works great for me. Definitely a great value!! Bonus- it has a ribbon book mark, and a stretch band on it!

Pretty, sturdy covers and nice, thick paper. I like to journal using Tombow Twin tip markers, so I need a high gsm, which these journals are. My only gripe is the paper is not white, but ivory. For the price, it's a nice, sturdy journal.
