Works Great! You'll Need a Roll Pin Punch To Install.
Works great! You'll need a Roll Pin Punch for the size of the rivet. Not exactly in every DIYers toolkit. If you don't own one, others on Amazon come with the pin required and you just need a hammer and a hard place to pound on (the back of my vice worked). Installation was painless. Plenty of videos on Youtube. Check and double-check that you don't rivet it in backwards as you only have 1 rivet. Use your other strut as a guide. My Awning: A&E Systems by Dometic model 8500/9000 circa 2006.

Back in action
Didn't think I was going to find this product. But it was located on amazon, and it works perfectly. Could have bought one but I got two just in case. This is for 30-year-old awning so I didn't want to take a chance and not having another part in the near future. Easy to install and it seems to be built exactly like the original. Perfect fits and looks exactly like it should.

Worked perfect on my A&E manual awning
Perfect replacement for the manual A&E awning on my 2005 palomino 5th wheel. You will have to drill the rivet out of the old one and flatten the new rivet provided with the kit.
