Can I use foil strips instead of the cap ?

Yes using a cap or foils are just different methods of streaking hair.. Go with your preference.

Hi, does this come with a highlighting cap please?

Yes it does and a hook with a brush on one end.

I’m concerned about the quality of the product, due to the fact the box looks as though it’s been hanging around since the 80’s? 😬

I used this for several years, with great success. I then started to get my highlights done professionally, so my spare box has been sitting in the cupboard for about 4 years. Due to lockdown, I decided to make use of it, but was a bit wary as I'd had the box sitting in my cupboard for so long. I rang Wella, and was gutted to hear that my box would have been too old to use now. Was also told that the product had been discontinued, and was advised not to buy any of these boxes that were still being sold online, as they would be old stock. The style of the box and picture has nothing to do with the above info. It's always looked like this.

does this come with an applicator brush?

Yes ,but it is just a small blue brush, I put a glove on and put streaking mixture on ,once I have pulled hair through cap .
