FIFA 17 - Standard Edition (PS3)

So happy came on time

Ok so first off this definitely worth buying over 18, as from what I've heard from reviewers fifa 18 has very little 17 doesn't, I think the only thing of note is visual transfer negotiations in career mode? As for what is has over 16. Well the new interface, the menus, keyboard when typing etc are all now jet black, which is nice, especially as a visually impared person. The colour makes things easier to read and is easier on the eye, though tbh, the previous grey was a lot harder for me to read, but wasn't too bright or what not. This game has a new engingine right? Didn't notice much difference from 16 tbh. But free kicks, corners, penalties etc have all been changed. I prefer the new corner system, don't notice much difference with free kicks and am not sure about penalties, couldn't do the old system can't do this one. The new training feature is nice but an auto feature or an option to turn it off would've been nice. I mean you can auto/simulate the training, but you can't auto which training regimes are picked, and there's just so many, and is this on top of the player's top potential stat or does it directly effect all stats that the player gains. I just find it complicated for those reasons, but apparently it was a really demanded feature. So yeah, that's about it really. So is it worth buying over 16? Well read above, are any of those things important to you? New free kick/corner etc system, inclusion of training , new interface. There's that Alex Hunter story mode too apparently, but I couldn't find it anywhere, the only new thing I saw really was the be a pro mode and it wasn't that.

Good game but disappointed EA didn't sell this a bit cheaper as it doesn't have the journey included. I must admit if it wasn't for the fact of disappointing 8year old I wouldn't have bought it and for the first time ever begrudged the price of fifa and as my oldest son 27 been buying this for years now poor show from EA but other content seems ok

Arrived as advertised, Fifa reduced the support and features in the PS3 version hence the three stars

Fifa 17 is just more updated & clearer which is obviously going to be standard. It is more improved and generally better to play. Yes the journey is not included on older consoles but if you'd have any common sense you'd know frostbite isn't associated with the older consoles, so all the criticism about the journey not being included is pointless.

Fifa 17 for PS3 foes not have all the features of the same game for the PS4. Personally I think it is unfair that just because one does not own a PS4 he/she should have less features in the same game. FIFA 17 for PS3 for example, does not have "The Journey". I think this is discriminatory.

every year i get the newest fifa game from amazon, if i leave it a couple of months till xmas the price really drops. never had any probs with any games bought, and i will continue as long as my boy wants it

Huge Fan of the series fantastic graphics and updated squads included youth players not much new content from the old game (Fifa 16) only downside no the journey mode on PS3 which is a shame but same old FIFA
