SuperEar Personal Listening Device, Compact with Stereo Headphones

Bought this for my 81yr old mum who has very poor hearing , won’t use hearing aids and is skeptical of ‘gadgets’. She has become even more lost during conversations because her eyesight is now failing so she can’t get by with reading lips. This was so simple to set up and as soon as she put on the headphones and turned the volume up , her face lit up. She could finally hear me talking at normal volume , without shouting , repeating myself and becoming frustrated 🥰. She even got me to stand further and further back as an experiment and lo and behold , she heard me speaking softly from a distance. One very delighted mum and daughter and I left her with her new SuperEar clipped to her waistband. Best £60 I’ve spent in a long time. Very happy with purchase

This is an amazing little device. It may not be so helpful in a noisy environment, where it makes all noises louder, but if you just need to be able to hear the tv a little louder, without everyone complaining that the tv is too loud, or hear a conversation between a group of people in a relatively quiet location. My hearing has deteriorated all of a sudden, so it will be a little while before I can get proper hearing aids. This can help me right now. I used it in a meditation class, where I can't normally hear the guided meditation at all. With this device I could hear every word, and also the soft music playing in the background. It has it's limits, as it's not so great to walk around with, but I would highly recommend it for a quieter environment.

After being diagnosed with moderate hearing loss in one ear and severe in the other I was really at my wits end that I had been put on another waiting list to get hearing aids. I was recommended one of these devices by a relative and bought it based on previous reviews. This device has literally been a life changer and I have only been using it for 2 days. It is a hand held microphone that clips to your belt and amplifies the sounds around you. You can adjust the amplification according to what you need and when in different environments. As others have mentioned it is difficult to hear the direction of sounds but at the end of the day it is £40 and not a replacement for hearing aids. Due to my level of hearing loss I cannot hear the television utilising this device. Some may be embarrassed by the size of the device and the fact it has super ear written on the side. However, to me it just allows people to visually see my disability. I would highly recommend this device if you are waiting on the list to get hearing aids.

I don't often write reviews on products but i do feel compelled to write one in this instance. My Father-In-Law has extremely poor hearing and resides in a nursing home. We literally have to shout into his ears despite the fact he wears hearing aids. He misses out on conversations and just smiles. After a little digging I found an app on my phone and connected it to a pair of headphones and it seemed to work ok. He does not possess an iPhone so I thought there must be something made as an all in one solution. I came across the SuperEar, read a few reviews and thought I would give it a go. The device has totally transformed his quality of life. We can now have proper conversations with him. It can cause some high pitched whistles when it interferes with his existing hearing aids so I sometime remove them and just use the SuperEar. When I push him along a busy street with the car noise I clip the Superear on the back of the wheelchair and can talk to him normally. I think the only improvement I could suggest is maybe a slide on/off with that would visibly show if the device was on or off as you cant tell with the rotary wheel whether or not it has been left on. I have also purchased some large over ear earphones instead of the lightweight ones which come with it which makes it even better. Overall we are delighted with the product and hope this review helps.

Ok, so I bought this because I am going slightly deaf and conversations and TV can sound muffled. This certainly helps with the TV but also enhances every other sound and I do get static feedback which I can hear and so can others around me so no use in a public area - such as a theatre.. The belt clip is worse than useless to be honest. I don't like the head set and the ear plugs fall out easily (and are a bit big). So it is ok. Helps me with the TV but I need to find a better more comfortable solution to my problem.

I bought this for my 96yo Nan, she’s very deaf and just can’t get on with in ear hearing aids, we were constantly shouting at her and it felt awful, I bought this because of the good reviews and ease of use, and to be honest, it’s pretty great! Very simple for her to use, aim at the person speaking to you or the TV, turn the dial, headphones on... boom, we don’t need to yell at her anymore, much better for all her family, grandchildren etc, she feels much more connected and included in conversations. The amp itself is pretty lightweight and for £60 a bit steep in all honesty, but that said, it does what it’s designed for and has really made a difference, I’d recommend this all day long....

My father is in his late 80's, has been profoundly deaf for years and has dementia. Hearing Aids have consistently failed my Dad in recent years and communicating has become incredibly hard, worsened by the Coronavirus distancing measures due to his various health conditions. Having had his hearing aids broken/lost during various visits to hospitals and care homes this year, what a treasure this little device is. I bought one, not expecting a great deal in view of my Dad's complete lack of hearing, and took it with me last Monday, I popped the headphones on him and all of a sudden we could have a conversation. I got my Dad back for a little while, well, an hour and a half. Not only was I over the moon with it, so was my Dad. It must have been the longest conversation he has had in years. He was completely made up with it and repeated several times how good it was. Have now bought another one for myself and both my brothers so when any of us visit we can chat with him. My only criticism is that, like so many things these days, it seems a little flimsy. I don't think my Dad will be able to operate it on his own albeit it is very simple, and the Care Home don't seem familiar with such devices so how long his will last I have no idea. I also took out the three year insurance for £5.95, just in case my fears are warranted. I bought the battery operated version, along with a rake of lithium batteries to leave with the Care Home.

Bought for my Dad who is 90. Hearing Aids were proving to be problematic and was constant have to adjust them. In the end stopped being effective. As he was being discharged from hospital, someone came round and tried these on him and he was impressed. We ordered them and have been able to actually hold conversations with him again. For the price it's a no brained and highly reccomended

I changed 3 hearing aids costing about Rs 50-60 for a pair, in last 5 years but always found myself visiting audiologist for limitation in hearing. the most disgusting was in spite of repeated audiograms changing frequency and settings by two to three audiologist my hearing never got satisfied. I could not enjoy conversations. Therefore I searched net myself for any better alternative uptil many months being a doctor myself. I found this amplifier and thought why not to try one. So i got it. It was surprising that since its use my hearing improved much more. I could hear clearly. Two of my relations when tried my this product also asked me to place an order for them. It is not very expensive simple amplifier which works uptil 50 db enhancement with volume change which also changes frequency of sound. I have sensineuronal hearing loss. I am better than before in hearing. Its microphone has to be directed by hand towards the direction from where sound is coming for more clear hearing. It requires one AAA battery.

My husband's hearing aid was lost in hospital, replacement came but needed to be recalibrated and cannot get in for 10 days. Brought this as a try out, interim measure as he cannot hear me or the TV. What a difference it made. God send. TV volume down from 34 to 20. What a relief. He can hear me too without me shouting. It works!

Para el precio que tiene en comparación con audífonos originales, este amplificador de sonido funciona perfectamente y cumple con lo prometido en que amplifica el sonido bastante. Los auriculares que vienen son malos, yo le he puesto unos de botón bastante buenos y se nota la diferencia. Es como hablar a un micrófono y actualmente la persona que lo usa escucha todo perfectamente. Un gran descubrimiento que ahorra muchos euros. Por cierto funciona con una pila pequeña que dura bastante. Recomendable.
