Braun Silk&Soft 5100 Lady Shaver

Happy with this product

After a very nasty experience with a now discontinued Philips Lady Shaver that made it extremely painful to walk for a few days after using it on my legs and getting some nasty cuts, I decided it was time to switch it up. I threw away the Philips model of course, but wasn't ready to give up on lady shavers completely, as they are so useful for touch-ups for nights out, vacations or surprise Summer weather like we've been having lately. In came the Braun Silk&Soft. Safe to say that it is in the top 3 best purchases that I have ever made. Attachments to help the shaver "mould" and adjust to the contours of the body, forming a gentle barrier between the blades and the skin makes it safe and kind to skin and the results are pleasing. Different settings for legs and rest of body. It doesn't dry out or scratch the skin, it glides and it doesn't leave bristly bumps, it gets very close to the root. Sits nicely in the hand, good material, no danger of it slipping. In summary, gentle, does the job it's supposed to do and does it well, well worth the money. 5*.

I bought this for when i was heavily pregnant and couldnt see parts of my legs. Its a good product that is easy to use. It won't give you a super close shave that leaves your legs smooth, but no electric razor will. However, it shaves close enough (less than 1mm) that you cant see the stubble, and is is very quick.

Purchased for my 11 year old daughter who has dark hair and starting to become self-conscious. I have a previous version which has stood the test of time despite frequent usage so I decided to purchase an updated model for my daughter. I haven’t used a razor in years and I’m pleased that my daughter will never have to! She can easily use this herself, it’s cordless and quick to charge. There are no sharp edges and it removes even fine hair with ease. There is also no uncomfortable or itchy regrowth! You can use it before going out bare legged without any redness or tenderness. A great first shaver for a pre-teen and as a parent I feel pleased to have found a shaver that I can trust on my daughter’s young skin.

So i often give reviews to products but this is a review that I'm struggling to find the correct words because, I have multiple sclerosis and struggle on a daily basis and I know this will sound very cliche but this has changed my life for the better! I can now easily a have smooth hair free body with minimal effort, no pain, no nips or cuts and no ingrown hairs. I am so pleased and the price is amazing. Such a small price for such a personal life changer!

It's OK for the price, but unfortunately was a bit disappointing after reading all the great reviews. The shave is not as close as it should be, and even for that you need to do it really slowly while stretching your skin to get a decent shave in your legs, there are definitely NOT silky smooth once your done, and you cannot do it in a hurry. The plastic "Optishave" is totally useless does not help getting a closer shave and keeps falling out of the shaver, it does not lock properly so after a few tries I just tossed it aside and used the shaver alone. For the money you pay it's OK, and it works fine for bikini and armpits, but for legs not so much.

Bought this to replace an old Philips lady shaver. I bought for bikini only, as I razor my legs and underarms. Just slot the batteries in and you’re ready to go. Easy to grip and guide around. No nicks at all. I’m happy with the end result - smooth, close finish with no irritated skin. The only downside is that it’s so loud. Maybe wait until everyone is out the house, or you’ll have to explain to everyone that you’re attending to your bikini bits!

Originally I was worried about purchasing this. Although when trying it out i was pleasantly surprised at how well it shaved my legs. Very very impressed. I managed to get an exceptionally close shave on my legs and bikini line although still slight stubble on my underarms. An all round fantastic product so far. I would say the only down side is the noise it makes. Very loud :/

Recomendable 100%. Ya tuve la misma que compré hace 10 años y al perder algunas piezas quise decidirme por el mismo modelo porque es realmente lo que necesito. No hace daño porque es afeitadora y se puede usar en la ducha.

Product seems to be functioning properly but is not very good! Doesn’t seem to shave very close to skin, is prone to nipping and cutting my skin and I expected a lot better for my money.
