Great Laptop Stand
I was looking for a good sturdy, handy laptop stand and I found it. It's Lavolta stand. I would disagree with some reviews for this stand as I read all of them especially for one and two star ratings. In my opinion it's everything what you need but first things first: Pros: 1. It is sturdy enough 2. It is good quality - it's aluminium ( it's light and strong enough ) not plastic so I don't know why people are complaining 3. I'm using my 17" laptop on it that weight around 4kg and I feel safe. 4. I'am using it on 2 seater leather sofa and while I'm in bed and It's fine so I again don't understand that 2 star review by Jim ( stand will be moving a bit in a bed as the mattress is not sturdy :P ) 5. It doesn't take too much space as the bamboo ones so its perfect for bed. 6. The best thing about it is that you can adjust it in many ways. Cons: 1. The desk surface is not slippery free, I think buying antislip rubber tape and putting few stripes on it will solve the issue. 2. It shouldn't be call as Table Desk more like a stand as in highest position you won't be able to use it while sitting on a chair but it is not the purpose for it. I hope my review helped a bit.

Great all rounder
This well rounded, versatile stand offers reliability, practicality and versatility in one package. The build quality is pretty spot on to be fair. -The tray to hold your laptop is metal and offers plastic hooks that can keep thicker laptops like my inspiron 7577 from slipping out which is a nice touch. -The two legs are a mixture of high density plastic and metal, which offers a very sturdy platform with multiple configurations to offer a versatile array of mounting options. Use it on a table, desk, sofa or my personal favourite; bed no problem! -However the locking mechanism for the legs can be a little fiddly at times to manipulate into the shape you need by so much sheer choice! With pop buttons that click into place at increments of rotation I think it maybe 5 or 10 degrees (not 100% sure) on each joint it means getting each leg to the right orientation can be a little difficult. -Reliably holds the heft of larger laptops, my 15” inspiron is hardly thin and light but I trust it on the sturdy design, really can’t speak enough about how strong and dependable it is. -Even includes fans for additional cooling but more on these later. -The mouse pad is alright but I don’t recommend it unless you can leave it flat which is harder than it would seem. Can’t recommend because my mouse simply slides off the damn thing half the time making it more of a hinderance than anything. However if you needed it, it’s there but quite small and I’ve found it easier to use the surface around me like my matresss or desk instead. The design is alright alithough could be improved depending on your view and laptop. -the design is more practical then beautiful so if your looking for something to complement your Mac books look, this isn’t necessarily it. -great practical design with a pattern imprinted into the metal of the tray for grip! -one point that really lets it down in my opinion is the fan orientation. I realise I’m splitting hairs here and most people won’t care but for a gamer like me, it matters. They’re currently set to suck air from between the tray and laptop to where your legs would go meaning air is sucked away from the machine. This seems stupid to me as most intakes for laptops are on the underside surely it would make more sense to have the cool air from below the trap be blown onto the laptop and help circulation to the fans on the underside of most laptops!?! But whatever, I may try flipping them considering they’re held on by screws, can’t verify whether this will work though. -my wide hips barely fit through the legs of the stand, meaning if your a larger person like myself you may have some difficulty. Don’t get me wrong, it’s possible but I feel like a contourtionist getting in the damn thing in bed. Hope this helps your decision, I can firmly say I’m happy with my purchase and if my feedback was taken onboard, this could easily be 5 stars from me!

Best laptop accessory I've bought - great if you are stuck in bed!
Having been 'bed bound' for several months this has been, and still is, one of the best laptop purchases I've ever made. Took me a short while to work out the angles of the 3 'stems/legs' for almost lie-ing down flat on my back. What would have made absolutely perfect (one for the manufacturers perhaps) would be if the metal square pad attachment for the mouse had a lip on it like the table itself to stop it sliding off when tipped towards the vertical but this is a minor point as many people won't use a mouse - I have to. Of course I'm using it right now to write this review. I'm sure I'll still find use for it when I'm back on my feet - perhaps I'll try it in the car. The cooling fans great idea if you have an overheating laptop. We've had 2 HPs that have burned themselves out after overheating with normal use. Luckily my MacBook doesn't get hot.

Very Good laptop monitor stand - No good as a table desk
The Lavolra works very well as a simple monitor stand for my 15" MacBook Pro. Unlike many laptop monitor stands it leaves plenty of clear space below it which is both pleasing to see and leaves space for other items. Some laptop stands do not raise the display height enough for a healthy workstation set up. It is not robust enough to use as table desk as it wobbles from side to side and flexes if you attempt to write on it. It is advertised as a table desk. It packs down very well for storage and is light and robust enough to easily carry. Adjusting the height works very well after a bit of fiddling to see what suits you although it is much quicker the second time you do it. It may be useful to note down the angles for your own set up if you are puttinging it up an taking it down on a regular basis. I have not tested the fan which has a power socket but no connector or charger. Possibly a part was missing. However I have no need for the fan as heat seems to dissipate very well anyway. Nor have I tested the mouse attachement as the whole stand wobbles and flexes too much to use as a table. On a final note there is a very misleading photograph of a women sitting on the couch as using it as a laptop stand opened fully and based upon the floor. When I tried it on a normal height couch it only came to the height of my knees and even then was unstable. I have however used it by sitting it across my lap resing on the cushions with my laptop, ipad and book where it works well. Very good as a laptop monitor stand both on the desk and good across you lap on a wide chair and in bed. Avoid if you want to use it as a table desk. I have not tested the fan unit as no power lead was supplied in my unit.
