Plot genius.
The author is a great writer and I have read or bought at least a dozen of her books, not bad for an American, pity they don’t understand the English language properly ha ha, thank you Patricia Cornwall.

Cornwell does it again
Got hooked on Patricia Cornwell's books when I had run out of James Patterson and was finding Ian Rankin a little hard going. Not that Rebus isn't good, it justs plods along a bit (no pun intended). I love PC's intricate and detailed descriptions of gadgets, forensic equipment and explanations of various organisations. This could be very nerdy, but somehow she makes it very interesting indeed. Unfortunately I have now run out of PC's books and have gone back to James Patterson. Not a hardship, but a very different writing style.

Great stuff
The story of a boy who says something stupid to his girlfriend and has to buy her two books by way of apology. Apparently it's an amazing book, so at least my story had a happy ending, if if the book probably doesn't.

Another compelling Scarpetta novel
Excellent multi-faceted storyline. Cornwell’s Technical knowledge adds tremendous value and interest.

Spooky!
I love the Scarpetta novels and this one in particular was really gripping. All the usual characters, which if you have read previous Scarpetta novels in the series are all in there. I found this story line particularly chilling but at the same time I couldn't put it down.Lots of twists and turns and even when you work out the plot the story still has lots of surprises.

Probably the last of these that I'll read.
Another Patricia Cornwell which I had trouble picking up rather than putting down. Scarpetta and crew have all gone weird and crazy.
