Vox - ADIO-AIR-GT Multi-Purpose 50W Modelling Guitar and Audio Amplifier

Vox have a winner here. Great sound with music or guitar. A full complement of effects. I actually have an AC30 and the amp model in the Adio is close enough for rock and roll. You can play along to Bluetooth audio. You will get that Jeff Beck solo nailed. Played with acoustic (fishman), an electro acoustic and a strat. All good. Using quality cables. Controls all button and knob, old school guitarist friendly. No computer skills needed. Looks good. Vox branding to the fore. I give it 6 stars. It's one more than 5.

Just had my first quick go with this after delivery.The one thing that struck me most was how little extraneous "noise" there was when I was not playing. Almost no hum, hiss or processing sounds. Great! Wish I could say this for all my other gear.This was purchased for use in the living room for when the garage is too cold in winter or the music room is too warm in summer!! It might also be used in the garden either using the mains or batteries if I wish to sit in some distant corner. The guitar is plugged into my Line 6 Amplifi TT and then the line out is sent to the Vox's audio in. (The guitar sounded fine direct into the Vox but I have all my tones set up on the Amplifi. Nevertheless the preset tone banks on the Vox seemed to offer a sufficient, if somewhat limited, variety)The overall volume is just enough for our 6X4 metre lounge. It is the same level as the maximum volume from my Revo Supersystem music player's published 80W output that my backing tracks or CD tracks are routed through via the Amplifi or iPhone (or both!). Well matched to my needs therefore. I had previously routed the Amplif through the Revo but the latter had just a little much latency, probably due to some processing procedure, and therefore the guitar notes were delayed. Very annoying. I chose the Vox rather than purchase some active speakers in order to broaden my options if I wanted to play quietly in the garden in summer.So far no grumbles.Mike.

The sound from this little amp is better than I'd dared hope. Some good cleans and some good crunches. It lacks the grunt of my 2x12, but yes of course it will. It's a fraction of the size (and weight!). Given the size, it moves the air quite well.But... but... the looks are quite appallingly garish, far worse than I'd imagined; someone in VOX needs to look seriously at their design choice. Good grief. I am perhaps not the target market; but I struggle to think who the target market might be. Even our lady guitarists can't find this pleasing to look at, can they?Am amp to use in a darkened room I think, at least until I work out how to dye the fascia all black.

The possibilities seem endless with the various controls and Cab-sounds, the Bluetooth speaker option is very, very good and I even love how it looks. (I bought it a gold tweed lead so it looks even more like a handbag than it did originally)One thing that strikes the hardest is the silence, this thing seems to suppress and all unwanted noise whether you’re playing or not. It really is something else.

Great tones, wanted it for a good Brian May sound whilst not blowing the house down with an AC30 cranked up. Seriously gives good overdriven tones yet ease of the guitar volume and still get a nice clean sound. Limited to 1 effect with 1 echi/reverb effect. More features open up when using the Tone Room app. Does have delay long enough to do Brian May 3 part but not quite loud enough and cant do 2 delays at same volume. Does a great Pink Floyd Run Like Hell delay.. Some later vox amp models for some really heavy stuff. For a small size amp it packs a real punch. Seriously loud in the home. Love it. Not cheap but if you want a good sound in a small space its a winner.

This is an excellent practice amp for home use, with good tones, and ability to play at lower volumes. Plenty of power and depth to the sound when you do want to crank it up. This amp is also good as a bluetooth speaker, and being able to stream tracks to play over is useful.Would highly recommend this amp if you are looking for something compact to use at home.

I used to have a Katana 50, which was a nice amp but physically bigger that I wanted as a practice amp, I then tried a NUX but that went back sound just had no depth. The Vox rules, it really does, the sound quality is more refined that the Katana especially when used with my Faith electro acoustic which sounds as smooth as silk. My Les Paul also turns out a great range of sounds from sharp and bright to raucous and grungy. The Bluetooth works a treat for backing tracks as does the Aux-in. I love the fact that there is a control to blend the AUX-in with the instrument rather than fiddling about with the external devices. The app is really neat, not as complicated or extensive as some others but really easy to change sounds. I'm loving it.Oh yes and then there is the look of it, well lets say its an acquired taste but I'll forgive it that.

Good little portable amp, sounds great as ever from Vox but there are no inputs for Mics? I mean a nice portable amp like this and no Mic inputs is a bit of a put off for buskers and people playing at parties and stuff. They need to forget FX and add more features. Nice 60s finish though would have placed the logo at the top left like an AC30

This was a replacement for 2 Vox amps that I’d basically beaten to death, so I’m already a fanboy, I’m incredibly impressed with the presets, both banks and modeling for the wonderful selection of amp cabinets that Vox has. That and the wide button really put this particular amp on the map.The Bluetooth connectivity is great, I pair up with my phone or tablet, and I can play along with the song in the speakers. So simple to reach over and have access to separate physical dials that access instrument volume, audio in volume, and amp cabinets.Right now my complaint is using it with any of the available software seems to lack intuitive setup or access. Tone bridge was fantastic on my previous Vox amps, plugged in the micro USB cable and the amp was recognized and off you went. Well tonebridge isn’t supported anymore and the Jamvox 3 doesn’t allow me to access my amp when I plug it in, it’s all overridden by the onboard controls, even though it shows the amp in the output of the program.That non functionality so far, and the swap to a new USB camera input necessitating yet another cable purchase (because of course it’s not included) is irritating. Took me a week to track down the specific cable, and it’s still not working like it should.Stand-alone amp is five stars easy, but software foibles made me take a star off overall.Edit: Took me a bit, but the Jamvox software suite is finally working with my amp. It’s still not as intuitive as I’d like it to be, but the trade off is that the downloadable patches will last damn near a lifetime. Exactly the amp I needed at this time, and everything works like a dream. A solid five stars.

Very elegant. Handy. Portable. Sound quality is superb. Sound effects are many. Download the software on your computer (min is Mac) or your phone (mine is iPhone" and have full control of the amp wirelessly.I play Electric Najarian 2000 Oud instrument, and was worried the sound effect might not be what I was looking for! However, the Vox AdioAir GT amp proved to be perfect.

Das Teil ist wirklich vielseitig. Eine klare sonore Jazzgitarre lässt es genauso toll erklingen, wie eine fetzige power Rock-Blues-Gitarre, oder eine sanfte Konzertgitarre. Dieser Kleinverstärker kann schon ziemlich laut werden und bleibt dabei mit seinen 2x25W einfach satt und kraftvoll im Klang. Lauter und satter als mein 50Watt Fender. Traut man ihm so erst gar nicht zu, wenn man den Zwerg so vor sich hat. Aber er kann. Er klingt aber auch leiser - Akkustikgitarren-niveau - immer noch überzeugend. Mit Stereo-Chorus und Wide wird's schön räumlich. Rauschen hab ich noch nicht viel gehört. Bei den meisten Einstellungen gibt es sowas gar nicht. Als Monitorbox mit Wide/an beim Filme gucken geht's Richtung Kinosound. Für zu Hause und Sessions "mit ohne Ohrenbetäuben", mit Batterie auch gern mal draussen, allerbestens geeignet. In der AC30TB - Stellung hört man den großen Bruder sehr, sehr deutlich raus. Macht echt viel Spass. Auch, daß man Musik bluetoothig abspielen kann, und wenn man will noch dazu instrumentieren kann, ist klasse und kann beim üben und lernen helfen oder auch einfach nur Spass machen. Die 2,9 Kilo lassen sich auch bequem tragen und sind mal nicht in China gebaut, sondern in Vietnam. Was an der britischen Arbeitsplatzsiuation auch nichts ändert.Folgendes ist mir als verbesserungsfähig aufgefallen: Ein Audio/out fehlt leider unverständlicher Weise völlig. Raus geht's da nur per Kopfhörer und wohl über USB. Ein (1) wechselbarer Akku wär auch schöner als 8 Einzelbatterien. Und eine Versorgungsmöglichkeit über 12V Autosteckeranschluß oder Powerbank wär fein und äusserst praktisch.Aber trotz dieser kleinen "Mängel" insgesamt eine klare Kaufempfehlung und fünf Sterne. Ich hab jedenfalls viel Freude damit und wenn ich ihn jetzt nicht schon hätt, tät ich mir das Ding sofort zulegen.

Per un uso in casa, quindi a volume moderato, è semplicemente perfetto: si può scegliere tra diversi tipi di amplificatore per chitarra, ci sono inoltre le effettistiche di base, che possono essere ulteriormente elaborate grazie ad un'app per smartphone o computer. Il suono è pieno e ricco, l'apparecchio e leggero e facilmente trasportabile, può funzionare a batterie (sarebbe stato bello avere però una batteria interna ricaricabile, o un allacciamento ad un powerbank usb). Tutto perfetto, a parte forse il look un po' imbarazzante, ma che alla fine non dispiace.

Lo compre reacondicionado y venía sin la fuente de alimentación. Suena muy bien, su sonido es espectacular incluso a nivelesMuy bajos. El punto débil en mi opinión es el software que está un poco anticuado. El diseño lo amas o lo odias. Para mí está bien porque se integra bien en el salón sin llamar mucho la atención. Es ideal para enchufar y tocar es fácil encontrar un sonido que te agrade.
