Predator – 7” Scale Action Figure – Ultimate Jungle Hunter

I’ve noticed a lot of negative reviews addressing breakages, which is a shame. You do have to be really careful with these Predators; they definitely aren’t “toys” but they are incredibly cool. I’ve been a fan of Neca for a really long time, they’re known for beautiful sculpts and paints and this figure is no exception. It’s incredibly screen accurate, loaded with sculpted detail and painted perfectly with a variety of finishes. It scales well with other 7” scale figures in that it’s the right amount taller (Predators being taller than human characters) so Neca has done a good job here; it stands somewhere between 8 and 9 inches depending how you have it posed. The articulation is solid but nothing groundbreaking, standard single jointed elbows and swivels and double joined knees, decent waist and diaphragm joints, ball hinges for the shoulders and ball pegs for the feet. The double ball peg for the head gives nice tilt which I always finds gives great expression. The computer on his wrist has a hinge so you can open it and the alien numbers (?) are painted which is a very nice touch. He comes with some great accessories, namely a human spine with skull attached, a skull, a masked and unmasked headsculpt as well as a mask for him to hold, open and closed hands and an energy effect to attach to his plasma caster (the hinge on the caster is so weak that it drops under the weight though). My hinge slid out (which is a common problem) and I just ended up glueing it in place as it serves no real purpose when there is a little ball joint that gives it all the range you need. The main problem I’ve found with these is the small rubber tubes on his left arm will stress really easily and will break if you’re not paying attention when articulating the arm, they need to be positioned prior to movement or they will snap. Not really a big deal for me when the figure looks so appealing on the shelf. I will happily continue to give my money to Neca when their product is of this kind of quality. You get so much sculpt and paint for your money.

After reading the reviews it seemed like this seller was bad and the figure within itself wasn’t of high quality, WRONG! The Sculpt on this Figure is amazing and the details is astonishing, it’s unfortunate to see those who’s figures have broke or paint is off. Although I may add that I know the source of why these figures are breaking, when I first unboxed the figure the joints was very stiff but after CAREFULLY nudging them and applying slight pressure (was scared to break it) I got them to start rotating and moving and got great articulation. I suspect that maybe all figures are stiff at first like mine and some people may accidentally apply to much pressure trying to move the joins and thus it breaking which is a massive shame - so my advice is, if you order one of these and the joints are stiff Be gentle with the articulation and slowly twist and turn them to Unloose the joints. I Recommend buying from this seller, not only was the shipping very fast but the packing was well secure and I’m happy to say the Box and Plastic within obtained no damage whatsoever and was New and Sealed. If you’re looking to buy this figure I can assure you it’s worth every penny! Ps. Just be careful with the joints at first Also thank you to the seller for the speedy delivery and prestine condition

An excellent buy! And at a reasonable price for a very detailed model and accessories. Unlike his counterpart “Big Daft Arnie” (Major “Dutch” Holland) in the movie, who weighed in as really expensive model, £250 to £49 for predator. Predator was the star of the movie anyway(John Porter Hall) who played him really well. I think the show was over shadowed by Arnie Shwartzenggers and Carl Weathers muscles!! DUH!! which the film makers kept focusing on. Predator was better looking anyway. Pity he blew himself up in the end. Another health and safety observation, Arnie was seen smoking a cigar inside the “chopper” this is something you do not do with all the aviation fuel about!! The rescue team operation would have ended before it started. Ex vetreran. PS I wonder how much of the royalties Arnie would have got for his image on the model!! It should have gone to Mr Porter???

Looks excellent! Lots of details, the figure is still in the package, so cant comment on articulation etc

I bought two alien figures from Neca so far and they were amazing, the articulation and quality meet my expectations, however this one fell apart as soon as I took it out from the box 😔 i will return it tomorrow and get a new one hopefully more durable. I made sure be extra careful but it took minimal movement to make this the come off 🙁
