Polycell BC1LS 1L Brush Cleaner

The main difference between brush cleaner and white spirit is that the brush cleaner is designed to be washed out afterwards using water. It's a bit like 'Swarfega' hand cleaner in that respect - it not only acts like a solvent on oil-based stuff to break it all up, but then allows it all to be washed of with water.

The bottle is so thin that it twists when first opening the bottle. Not sure thats a good thing, although it suggest plastic use is being limited!Not yet put the liquid contents to use

Good quality result. If white spirit is shampoo, then this is conditioner. Very pleasantly surprised with how soft and supple the brush was after drying. Used with silk and satinwood paint. Actually seems to have had a somewhat restorative effect on a brush that was on the way out. Wish it was cheaper, but honestly not that much more expensive than white spirit so decent value.

This stuff is really great for wet brushes just used and clears the paint saving the brush. Takes a little discipline after the job to fight the urge to just wrap the brushes in plastic but cleaning with Polycell doesn't take long and is not too messy. It can't be watered down so the large bottles are better so that they don't run out mid-job.

This arrived very well packed, but unfortunately had leaked over the bubble wrap and into the outer box. The lid on the bottle was very loose and I ended up loosing a third of it due to leakage.

Top was so badly fitted it had to be cut off. To make matters worse the product is nowhere near as effective as previous purchases of the same. Looks like a watered-down solution.

I received the brush cleaner on time. I can't believe I have to order on line as local shops not selling this.
