Boyu Aquarium Fish Tank and Cabinet with LED Lighting, 84 cm, 198 Litre

I have now had this tank for 3 years. It is fantastic value for money. The filter return was very loud and sounded like water going down a plug hole. I put a thin strip of filter wool from the tray, just into the tube and that stopped the noise. I have changed the tank around since I got it and upgraded to a canister filter for it. It fits nicely in the cupboard. The depth and height are fantastic and my fish have loads of room. I didn't like seeing the water level, so I put a strip of black electrical tape around the top and it blends in well I think.I appreciate a couple of people have had the tank crack and that would be devastating, especially if you lost livestock, but I think all products have a percentage that fail. I certainly wouldn't describe this as cheap Chinese rubbish as some people have. It's very good value for money, quality Chinese manufacture.I am really pleased with it and in looking for a second one. The only problem I had was the delivery choice from APS. I live in a tiny street and they planned to leave it on the pavement in another street, as they couldn't fit their truck down. I managed to buy from Amazon and the delivery team were perfect. Really helpful and conscientious.

Haven’t set it up yet but looks great only down side is the filter don’t have instructions to set up and I think there’s part’s missing for the filter

Firstly this is not suitable for people who have never owned any sort of aquarium. Just don't buy this.This aquarium looks so cheap with a logo on the right "Boyu" and another length Chinese or something logo on the left - which I am planning to remove a put a sticker over it.The will be no instructions in English, most is in Chinese. The cabinet comes with a small A4 paper with a diagram showing you the pieces but not how to put it together. If you have never built anything from Ikea then you have no hope, once you get over that hurdle, you will spend hours trying to figure out how their filter system works at the diagram they send you has more parts than what you get.The delivery company is not insured to deliver to your door or upstairs in your building - with/ without an elevator. They will leave it outside on the pavement, with a pallet which apparently you have to get rid of yourself. In total I ended up paying £280 + delivery. It's worth adding and extra £50 and buying a decent aquarium from a well known brand with instructions in English and customer service who will not tell you that they have "limited knowledge".

Completely different to the shown on the picture, on picture there is no Chinese symbol on it, but the 1 sent you to you has on the top left, also very very dusty and full of brown marks that don't come off, I'd advice people to look elsewhere as this 1 is very poor

Ordered the 198 litre tank and its far bigger then expected, closer to 250 litres. No issues with delivery except it is delivered to the curb only on a pallet (you dispose of). Looks great once set up. Gave it 4 stars due to the tank having a few scratches to the glass and the filter is in no way sufficient enough for the size of the tank so had to purchase an external filter.

Now that this tank has been set up for 6 weeks I am happy to say that I am very pleased with it overall.Delivery was prompt although I didn't realise that it was only kerbside delivery and I would have to carry the tank and cabinet inside myself. The driver did at least help to bring the tank through the front door.Putting the cabinet together was relatively straight forward despite the basic instructions, however I had a few issues with the door parts. A phone call to APS customer services and the issue was dealt with very courteously.I use an external filter and haven't used the filter that came with the tank so I can’t comment on it, however it comes with filter media. I noted that ceramic rings were missing. APS advised that they were out of ceramic rings and that my purchase had recorded against it a dispatch of rings once they had stock. I received these last weekend without having to chase them up (useful if I need to use the internal filter).3.5 years on from my original post and the tank is still in good condition! That means no peeling panels, rust, weakened waterproof joints and no dodgy electronics for the lighting. The only thing I regret is not getting a bigger tank at the time.

Great tank this, very pleased with it. Personally I have not used the internal hood filter that comes with it, a tank this size I’d recommend a external filter.

Nice tank looks better now the Chinese badges have been removed (easily done). No credible instructions and filter takes some working out. Even now when I have worked it out I am not confident with the filter and have ordered an alternative. The price for the tank was good enough for me to do that and I built this into my plan following research into this type of filter.Delivery by Palletways was excellent, good communication and assistance from the driver for this heavy item. Amazon take note as I previously ordered a different tank from Amazon but ended up cancelling after being messed about by Yodel who three times claimed to have attempted delivery when there had been someone at home and no card left.
