Previously I have purchased very similar cool gel pads from on line catalogue shops at a much higher price with additional postage on top. I am delighted with this. It is well made, with securely stitched binding all around the edges. It is the size of a large laptop and folds in half for easy transportation , or to make a smaller sized pad, should you need it. Others have complained about the size, I find it large enough as larger gel pads are heavier if you want to place it on your body when lying down.It will not stay cool all night. But if you hold it or lie on it for about ten minutes you will find you feel much cooler. Great for hot flushes and nights sweats! Just keep it next to your bed. Brilliant value and fast delivery.

This is best for casual using - I leave it by the settee for when I get hot! It is cooling and it does what it says it will do! I have used it at night too, but it is not as effective as it does get warm when covered up! However this is what I expected having read earlier reviews - it does not appear to have been created to last for hours! So if you leave it next to the bed and use it when needed it is good. If you leave it in your pillow slip, under your pillow, or under your body - it will eventually get warm. Was considering buying to take abroad, but may go back to the 'Chillow', which does keep its cool for longer.

This is a bit small to use with an adult pillow, but perfect for my 3 year old nephew. I bought it to replace a leaky chillow, which seems to be a big problem with Chillows. These gel pillows aren't quite as cold as the chillow (although this may be an advantage if you have sensitive ears) and warm up a little quicker as well. However, you just need to move to another part of it while it cools down again, and it's great for getting to sleep as it will stay cool for several hours. It's much much lighter than the chillow, so easier to transport, and also more comfy as it has a soft cover. (The Chillow has rather hard edges that poke into your neck a bit.) I was hoping to buy an extra large one for myself (as I tried this one and it's quite small on an adult pillow so tends to slip down the pillow during the night), but they were out of stock so I've bought one advertised for animals, but basically the same thing.

I bought 2 of these to keep my feet cool when I am in bed.Ever since I have had my 3 children I have found that I get hot feet throughout the year. I bought 2 so that I could use 1 and keep the other one in the fridge. Then if I wake up in the middle of the night, I would always have a cool replacement. Unfortunately, it didn't work out like that as my 4 year old daughter has comandeered one for herself and she uses it to rest her head on at bedtime.I have tried resting my head on it and found that it felt too hard for me to get comfortable and when I have managed to fall asleep, the pad is warm to the touch when I wake up.I have found that they work quite well to rest the laptop on when you have it on your lap, and if you rest the laptop on one that is cold from the fridge it keeps the laptop so much cooler.I would recommend these, but only if you pre-cool it first as it just doesn't feel cool enough when you use it at room temperature.

I bought two of these a year ago and used them quite a bit last summer as the temperature in my bedroom at night stays around 30 degrees between June and September. The cooling effect wasn't brilliant, but it did help a little with the heat and I'd swap them round when the one I was using had warmed up. However, both pads have now developed strange lumps all over them on both sides (different on front and back). The seams are intact, so nothing has got inside. I can only suppose that the gel has crystallised for some reason. The cooling effect seems to be much less now, making them practically useless. I'm disappointed because I paid over £20 for these with shipping and would have expected them to last longer than a year!

I brought this item as I suffer terribly from night sweats, which is not pleasant for me nor my partner when the bed is leaking with sweat. After reviewing the NHS website I decided not to seek help from my GP as the condition can be treated at home and the although night sweats are normally caused by other conditions I did not experience any of the other symptoms described on the website. I blamed the night sweats on the recent warm weather in the UK during the summer and that the bedroom in my apartment is located in a loft in a well insulated building.After buying a large fan I also saw this online and decided to buy it. The Cool gel pad is excellent and has really helped my condition. I sometime put it in the fridge for an extra cool sensation, but it is relatively cool on its own. The product is fairly small but that is disclosed by the seller and does the job well regardless. I would defiantly recommend this product as it has multiple uses and would be ideal for a toddler with a temperatures or an older pet that may suffer from the heat more.

I bought this for use on my pillow since the description and image suggest that as a primary use. What a waste of money! The mat was really hard and putting your head on it caused it to close up like a book due to the centre fold. So uncomfortable. In my view it is totally unsuitable for use as a pillow pad.However, it was cool to the touch and might be useful for some other purpose. As others have said it will warm up over time (the heat has to go somewhere, right?) but would certainly provide temporary cooling - if you could find an application for it -hence 2 stars.

Me resultó inútil. No sé si porque lo entregaron en un sobre doblado y aplastado (no venía bien empaquetado) y se quedó un día entero expuesto al sol en el buzón (se mandaría por correo normal y no por mensajero el cartero en vez de llamar lo metió como pudo en el buzón) o porque no funciona simplemente (he visto algunos comentarios en inglés de gente que decía que sí funcionaba), pero en mi caso no sirvió para nada, no se enfría apenas.

Mit herum-bewegen faltet es leicht und das Gel verdrückt sich in die nicht belastete teile; dann gibt es kein Polster mehr. Als Kühlung-matte hält es ca. 2 Minuten, dann ist es wirkungslos. Nach 5 Minuten schwitzt man, und es wird sehr unangenehm klebrig wegen die Kunststoffmaterial. Zum Sitzen, bekommt man bessere Ereignisse mit Memory-schaum.Aufgepasst: Verkäufer CostMad berechnet Rücksendekosten von €3,50. Ware war nicht neu, es war so alt dass das Gel anfängt zu Kristallisieren. OVP Siegel war offen & die Hälfte des Siegels fehlt.
