These are honestly a lifesaver! I suffer really badly with cold sores and they can sometimes become really big and painful. These have genuinely become my lifeline when I get one. I’ve tried so many other products before, but when my cold sores are bad, I’ve found nothing else works as well as these. They’re so easy to apply, stay in place really well and help protect the cold sore while it heals. I also love that they make it much less noticeable, which is especially helpful when you’re out and about. If I put one on early enough, I find they can clear up my cold sores within around two days. They’re also perfect for keeping in your handbag or taking with you wherever you go, just in case. I always have these on hand now and couldn’t recommend them more!

These patches are a godsend! I've noticed that my cold sores heal a bit more quickly and easily when I use the patches, and now choose them over using acyclovir cream. Having the cold sore covered also gives me huge peace of mind, as the patch provides an extra layer of protection in terms of preventing the spreading of the cold sores to other parts of my lip- or passing this horrible virus on to others. I find that the patches stay put quite well, although if I'm eating a meal or drinking frequently they tend to come loose. But when I'm just eating a small snack like a biscuit or something, and just taking small sips of a drink, they stay on pretty well. On the downside they can be fiddly to apply, and I have wasted many patches over the years due to applications going wrong! And even though they're quite discreet I wouldn't say they're invisible- but then neither is a blob of cream on your lip! At the end of the day there's no perfect formula for managing and getting rid of cold sores- but this is one of the better methods in my opinion. Overall I'd recommend this product to anyone suffering from cold sores. The patches have been a game-changer for me and made outbreaks slightly shorter and more bearable. I also think they're good value for money.

I bought the Compeed Hydrocolloid Cold Sore Treatment Patches as I wanted something more discreet than traditional creams, and I've been really impressed with how well they work. The patches are thin, comfortable to wear and much less noticeable than I expected, making them ideal for wearing during the day. They are easy to apply, especially with the included applicator, and they stay securely in place for a good amount of time. The patch creates a protective barrier that helps shield the cold sore from water, bacteria and everyday contact, while also reducing the temptation to touch the area while it heals. I also like that they can be worn under normal circumstances without constantly having to reapply cream. Overall, these patches are a convenient and discreet solution for managing cold sores. They are simple to use, comfortable and effective at protecting the affected area. I would definitely keep a pack handy for when needed.

It takes a lot for me to write a review usually however I need to comment on how effective these have been for me! I only get coldsores probably twice per year, every 6 months. Usually, I have a coldsore for a good 2 weeks before fully healing. I am not exaggerating when I say I have used these patches for 4 days and it’s nearly gone already! It has stopped me picking at it, it took the blister down the day after first use and it has stopped any irritation I would usually get. It also prevents the coldsore from scabbing so it heals it so much more hygienically and discretely and again, preventing picking at it. It feels funny on first use but after a few days, you get used to it and forget it’s even on. I found them quite easy to apply, you just have to press around the sides before peeling the rest of the tab off and then it sticks. The size of the patch could be a little bit smaller as I found I had to slightly stick it under my bottom lip to prevent the patch from being in my mouth where it may have not stuck for as long after drinking and eating. But this didn’t impact anything really as it was still subtle and when I did drink and eat, the patch stayed on. I am never going back to using creams again and will be buying these again in future!

After suffering for years with cold sores and messy creams, these patches are brilliant! Pricey for what they are but they do work wonders as I find it also seems to cut down the amount of time I'm suffering with the cold sore, if I can catch it with the 'tingle'. They are fairly easy to put on (just remember to make sure your skin is clean and dry when you apply, any creams, oil or water do affect how well the adhere!) and they cover well (not sure how well with big cold sores?) They do stay on mostly throughout the day, other than when I'm drinking when I find they have a tendency to come loose (unless I use a straw) not so much when I'm eating, but how often do you eat and not drink at the same time? Hence why I usually apply after food and drink to allow them to stay on longer. They stay put over night no issue and will purchase again in the future, although I do try to keep some on hand just in case! The plastic case they come in is handy and sturdy and can easily be carried round with you without damage, it's just a shame they don't do a 'refill style pack' to save on packaging wastage and cut down on some of the cost.

They worked ok, definitely better than nothing. But the downsides are they are expensive for what they are, especially as they can be fiddly to use and I ended up wasting more than a couple of them due to it rolling up, getting stuck elsewhere, etc. Also, where sores are located in or underneath the nostril, this is an area which gets moist frequently so I found in my case the plaster rolled off sometimes in less than an hour. There was the temptation to try to ‘pat’ it back into place, which increased cross-contamination risk. I had a busy time of adjusting, replacing, washing hands, repeat… There are cheaper versions I’ve found but often they are too thick and don’t stay on. Compeed plasters are extremely sticky and stay on better but this means taking extra care peeling them off so you don’t cause damage to the fragile skin.

Amazing for cold sores. Have bought a few times now. Theyre easy to use, are a good size, and are incredibly effective at getting rid of sores. Have good adhesion, too. I highly recommend these for the price.

These are the best patch for cold sores. They took a long time to arrive but litteraly the day before a cold sore showed up on my lip. Mine was located at the bottom corner of my lip so it was trickier to put on but still, they did wonders with concealing it AND healing it too! Both my daughter and I get cold sores especially when stressed so we will keep those on hand alongside our prescription cream. I alternated. Don't put cream on before the patch

I would have given it 5 star if I had received the new version of the patch with the new applicator. I ordered two boxes (from Metropharma shipped by Amazon) and one was the new applicator and one was the old version (expiring in 9 months). The old version is horrible - it’s so hard to put on, the sticker stretches so much that once it’s glued it rolls back very quickly. Waste of money! The new version works super well and it’s easy to put on. The course of the blister is still about a week but at least you’re not suffering during that week! It’s quite well explained in the instruction booklet in a diagram. The sticker stays put for even longer than 12 hours. I would highly recommend the new version, but maybe not guaranteed from this seller.
