I served time in the Cabinet Industry and was taught at the age of 15 the correct way to hold and draw a scraper, also how to hone the edge to keep it sharp. I consider this method still to be the best way to get a very fine finish on on furniture, gets rid of machine marks like no other system. Ideal for keeping all types of cutting boards clean and fresh, such as chopping boards and breadboards. I found these scrapers to be of high quality steel.

Out of the packet it has a very very slight burr on only one of the shorter sides so I'll need to add deeper burrs to the other edges using Paul Seller's method as seen on YouTube.Without a burnishing tool I'll try using a hard tempered drill shank to turn the burrs.Whilst tool sharpening is a necessary part of using and maintaining hand tools, this is a bit like receiving a saw that has no teeth cut in it or a chisel with no cutting edge.It seems like it will be a decent quality tool once I've sharpened it but as supplied it is basically a rectangle of tempered steel and its disappointing that it can't be used straight away on arrival.

Good, reasonably hard steel that takes some effort to burr but then retains burr well. My first experience with I scrapper and I’ve been pleased.

This tool is about as simple as it gets, but for a first time user, the key is learning how to sharpen, set and use such a scraper.I suggest you go check out YouTube for some tips but this tool is a really useful item to have when you need to clean up the surface of wood - mainly hard woods. I would definitely say it is a cabinet maker's tool rather than a carpenter's tool, but if you need a bit of precision surface clean-up without sandpaper type scratches, this is your tool.All you get in the package is a flat piece of flexible steel so be prepared to find out what a scraper is all about before you rush at it. Other than that, and at this price, go for it.

Diese Klinge hätte ich mir viel früher kaufen sollen.Praktischer als zu hobeln oder zu schleifen.Bin sehr zufrieden.

Ces racloirs semblent être de bonne qualité.Ils sont livrés non affûtés. Donc première chose à faire, dresser les chants et les passer à l'affiloir. Pour ceux qui ne connaissent pas, il y a énormément de vidéos qui traitent de ce sujet sur Youtube.Après, c'est un plaisir à utiliser.Très bon rapport qualité-prix.
