If you are trying to decide whether to spend this amount of money and wondering if it actually works, then I can confirm it does. It is a bit expensive but still half the cost of a battery for my vehicle, Chrysler Grand Voyager 2.8 CRD Diesel. It is so easy and quick to connect, it is so compact that I thought it would never work, I was wrong. As it says in the video there is no need to wait, just attach it to the battery and switch it on, then start the car, it is that quick. Charging in the car takes very little time at all. It does look good and I cannot fault it at all. I opted for the GB70 as it has 2000A power as my engine is quite old, 20 years, and 2,8l diesel, and it cranks it better than the actual battery. I highly recommend this jump starter power pack, with this in your glove box you never have to worry about your battery going flat in the forthcoming cold weather.

The Noco GB Genius jump starter pack is unbelievable! With the inbuilt technology, it’s impossible to get the polarity wrong as it indicates the incorrect connections and just won’t work. You can even short the positive and negative clamps together with no sparks or damage done. I have a 3.5 litre V6 Mercedes that was left standing with the lights on (schoolboy error!) and it started it as if the battery was brand new. It’s also fitted with a super bright LED array with loads of different modes one of which is a rapid, side to side mode that would be great to place in the road on a dark night to change a wheel. It is fitted with both USB and 12v out and in ports enabling you to charge it off a cigarette lighter or a USB charging point. I realise it may be expensive to many folks but the feel of this thing and the ease of use puts it head and shoulders above everything else. It’s as solid as a house brick! My only slight criticism is its weight as it is around 4.5lbs. I never knew lithium could be so heavy. I hope this review helps with your choice; I cannot recommend it highly enough! If there was 10 stars I’d give them... UPDATE: having owned this for some time I’ve got to know it really well. A pal of mine has an old 5ltr, S500 V8 Merc that wouldn’t start. He keeps it in storage using a trickle charger which packed in without him knowing. I turned up with my Noco, wired it up and it started like brand new. This surprised my mate so much, he rushed out and bought one. One last point, my wife and I are about to buy a camper van and disappear across Europe for a couple of years. Although brand new, I will feel a lot happier having the Noco onboard. Having a camper van not start in some backwater could be a serious issue but would be easily sorted owning the GB70. So, for those with a camper van, put your mind at rest. Why take the risk? EDIT. Buy the carry case too, keeps the unit clean and protected whilst providing somewhere to store the charging leads.

After reading a few reviews that this item did not work I was unsure if I made the right decision. But with the thousands of positive reviews also I was looking into the main criticisms and decided to give it a go (as I believed a lot of the negative comments could be down to user error, not the product.. Things to note: 1. Make sure you have the leads are on correctly. (the right way round and connect to the car battery in the order it instructs ) you will know if it connected correctly as it indicates (read instructions!) 2. once connected then turn on the device by pressing the main power button AND THEN press the "exclamation mark" ( ! )button - hold for 3 seconds - (until the product lights up once this is initiated) YOU MUST DO THIS if your battery is completely flat (as mine was) - This is a safety override and allows extra boost to start a completely flat battery. My vehicle is a 20-year-old - 3ltr Petrol V6 S-Type Jaguar and it has a parasitic drain that I cannot trace - I do not use it often and it was completely and utterly flat - no central locking (I had to enter using the key) no interior lights would illuminate no sound on turning the key in the ignition - dead! After connecting as above I waited approx 30 seconds and turned the key (I was not sure if it would start..) - IT FIRED UP FIRST TIME! Excellent! - This little boost pack will now stay in the spare wheel well in the boot ready for whenever it is needed - (I cannot say how many vehicles it would be able to start on a single charge but I checked the charge afterward by plugging the device back into the charger and it was still showing charge as on full power) I would recommend this product ***** Purchase/Amazon issue: The first product I received via Amazon was a second-hand unit - it did not work, would not power up - it was not sealed and some of the connectors/ items were missing and had marks on it ... I sent this back and received a replacement the next working day- The replacement product was factory sealed and brand new. This is the product I used in the review above.

When it works, this jump starter is brilliant—plenty of power to get a dead battery going, even on bigger engines. I’ve used it a couple of times and it fired up the car straight away with no issues. Feel sturdy strong and durable has a nice carry case. Liked the safety feature that you can’t damage the NoCo or the battery if you place things the wrong way round. The downside is that it doesn’t hold its charge as well as I’d hoped. After a couple of weeks in the car, it had already discharged quite a bit. Not ideal if you’re relying on it for emergencies. Great for regular use or to keep topped up at home, but probably not the best choice if you want something to just sit in the boot “just in case.”

Excellent jump starter that works really well. I use it daily as a mechanic and it has been very reliable. It has plenty of power and starts vehicles without any trouble. The unit feels solid and well built, and the clamps are good quality. It’s also compact enough to keep in the vehicle. Overall a very dependable jump starter and well worth having.

Wow!! Berlingo battery was dying. I'd bought an Amazon-no-big-make special for £90. Promised lots. Hopeless. Sent it back. It went to 0% after attempting to jump a flat battery. So was very sceptical about this one. Don't know why! It arrived early morning and battery dead AGAIN. Jumped my Berlingo straight out the box. Took it to work. Jumped it 3 more times that day. Charged it up fully after. Hadn't used in a month then jumped my friends Fiat Motorhome!!! Then, coincidentally, my own battery problem came back. Same day. Jumped it 4 or 5 more times and it STILL shows around 75% (sometimes 100%) Charge left. Unbelievable product! Bought on Cyber Monday but unquestionably worth the full price. Best purchase of 2020!! UPDATE - First use of this was Dec 1st. Charged fully after used (see above) I have Not charged it AT ALL since day 1. Jumped a Fiat Motor home 3 wks since last used and my van 4 or 5 times on the same day. Light was also used for around 30-45 mins on Christmas day camp out. Today, I thought I'd test this thing out. Put it through its paces! I charged my Samsung A20 from 69% to 100% (turned off) Then a Blackberry Classic from 0% Totally flat to 100% (phone turned ON) Then got from 33% to 48% on an old Samsung J15 2016 (turned off) Before the unit went dead. Of this phone charge test I had the LED light concurrently running, on full 400 Lumen power for a consistent 3.5 hrs Yeah....this thing is not gonna let me (you) down! :D Update : Can also jump start a Manitou!! I bought a small jump starter before this one and it failed to even produce more than the familiar click you get when you have a dead battery. So I realised I needed one that was going to be adequate for the job in hand. Reviews and comparisons that included the NOCO GB70 were very positive and it came out on top. I ordered it and it arrived (about 50% charged) the following day when the battery in my 2.2L Range Rover Evoque (diesel) was completely flat again. It started it first time. I then had to start it a second time 30 mins later to get the car to Kwifit for a replacement battery. Again it started with no problem without even charging it. This is a heavy duty piece of kit which is very solid and well made. I am really pleased with it so far. The only negatives are that it takes up to 7 hours to charge via the USB connector provided. There is no mains adapter provided. This is not a reason not to buy it however as you do have a option to charge it from a cigarette lighter in the car (while you’re driving about ). I put the NOCO on charge via the cigarette lighter when I drove to get my replacement battery and it was 3/4 charged an hour and a half later. A second small point to mention is that the powerful integral LED light would be better placed at the opposite end of the unit so it points to the battery terminals rather than away from them! As it stands today I would highly recommend it. Additional info that may help....I also bought a volt meter that plugs into a cigarette lighter so you can monitor both the battery charge when the engine is off and with the alternator output while the engine is running. You don’t need to be technical to plug the meter in to see you have 12+ volts with the engine off and 14+ with it running. If it’s gradually dropping from 12 volts in normal use, the battery may be failing to hold its charge or the alternator is not charging it but bear in mind that multiple consecutive short journeys, with everything turned on in winter, will pull more out of the battery than the alternator can put back in.

El producto se ve a simple vista que está fabricado con gran calidad. Todos los detalles lo denotan. El modelo nuevo es el que aparece en la web oficial pero hay una gama más antigua de arrancadores NOCO que llevan el nombre "Genius" y que ahora solo usan la gama de cargadores de batería NOCO. (Por eso se venden más baratos en EBay y hasta con su Estuche). El arrancador(Jump Starter) vino con su caja comercial y con blíster de plástico sellado cosa que se agradece evitando así sospecha de manipulación. A su vez el fabricante lo envía dentro de una caja de cartón y Amazon te lo puede enviar a su vez dentro de su caja. Llegó un día antes del plazo estipulado. Si quieres comprar el estuche original NOCO busca en la web oficial el que le corresponde al cargador de compres ya que hay varios modelos. Para este modelo de cargador el que le corresponde es el estuche GB014 y no ningún otro. Lo comento porque Amazon ha estado ofreciendo el modelo GB015 que no le corresponde. Si quieres comprar el Adaptador XGC4 de 56W para cargar en 2-3horas la batería es recomendable y según el manual es incluso necesario para la cobertura de la garantía ya que no se hacen responsables de uso de cargadores de terceros que además tardarán 7 horas en cargar al 100% la batería (cargadores de teléfono móvil por ejemplo). El adaptador viene con enchufes para todos los países y todos los voltajes incluido el que se usa en España(Europa). En el manual de usuario recomiendan hacer los arranques con la batería totalmente cargada dejando para el resto de usos como enchufar a infladores de ruedas o aspiradoras la energía restante. El manual viene impreso en castellano y muchos más idiomas pero en un tamaño ridículo que cuesta bastante leer así que usando el móvil tomé fotos y ampliando se lee mejor. El arrancador cumplió perfectamente su cometido en dos vehículos distintos de gasolina y diésel. Como las baterías de los dos coches estaban muertas tuve que usar un modo especifico que tiene dejando pulsado 3 segundos un botón y logró en los dos casos arrancar a la primera los vehículos. Como se hizo en una cochera con poca luz usé la luz de 400 lúmenes para ver bien donde estaba el polo positivo y el negativo de la batería a la hora de poner las pinzas. Lo bueno de este modelo frente a los inferiores de la gama es que este y los superiores traen toma de 12V y hasta15A para conectar aspiradores, infladores, etc... que en un viaje viene genial. Trae como la mayoría de las otras marcas toma para cargar el móvil pero no carga rápida. Muy contento con la compra y muy útil para los viajes.

I've been a pro auto tech for long enough now that all the normal tools have been bought and paid for. You start looking for other things that you never really wanted to spend the money on, but always irritate you when the shop you're at doesn't have one, or the one they have sucks. I bought this because the place I was at, for a short time, reconditions and resells used cars. At any point in time we would have anywhere from 2500-5000 cars at the facility. It's a huge place, and a lot of dead batteries. On a daily basis I would need to jump start 4-10 cars. Cars ranging from tiny electric cars to diesel trucks. Out of the hundreds and hundreds of cars I've needed to jump, only one of them would the Genius not jump. And this was only due to an extreme discharge (1v), and no direct access to the battery terminals. Only tiny remote jump posts were accessible. The description claims that this will jump up to 20 cars on a single charge. I can vouch that this is an under estimate. I could use this all week, jumping 30 or more cars, before charging. I only plug it in when it reaches 25% according the to the LED indicators. On a very regular basis I would need to jump electric cars. Electric cars have a regular 12V battery for starting, and the motors run off a special battery. More often than not, the 12V battery, and the motor battery would be dead. So I would use the NOCO to start the car, then leave it connected in order to drive it to the shop (up to 1/3 mile from where cars parked). This little jump box will run an entire electric car with AC on full blast for several minutes and barely deplete its charge. However doing this multiple times throughout the day will deplete it more quickly. But if all you need to do is jump start, the charge lasts forever. Obviously you can use it in a similar way on a gasoline engine to run the car, when the alternator is bad. Only a few, very minor, points to mention. The cables are a little shorter than I'd like. This makes it more compact, but sometimes finnicky to get connected to a battery. The location, and ease of activation, of the light button make it entirely too easy to turn the light on. I found many times, I accidentally turned the light on without realizing it, and it stayed on for who knows how long until I noticed. Also it's a bit heavy to carry around. And this I only say because I had to carry it around in a backpack with other tools, and things I needed to do my job. For the normal person, the weight isn't an issue. It is by far smaller, and lighter, than the traditional jump box. And lastly, it takes a long time to fully charge. The better part of the day, if mostly depleted. So that's it. Those minor points are so minor, in no way should they deter you from buying this. I absolutely love this thing, and only hate that I waited so long to buy it. Update: Been using this now for almost 2 years. Still going strong. Working in a normal shop now, so not jump starting batteries every day. The charge still lasts forever. Also use to bench test starters. I now charge it probably once a month. It never goes dead, but if I see the charge is depleted when I use it, I will throw it on the charger. Still the best jump box I've ever used. Update: I bought this in March 2017. I'm now buying a second one. I want one for home now, so I'm getting the new one for work, and taking the old one home. I'll still love this jump box. Still working on cars, still jump starting cars on the daily. Now that this box is nearing 5 years old, the battery does need charged more often. Think of your old smart phone. But it's still kicking strong. The cables are still annoyingly short. I charge this every few weeks, and use it pretty much daily. The rest of my previous review still stands strong. The only difference now, is I have to charge it more often because the battery is so old. But still perfect for home use, and now I'll have a fresh new one for work.
