GCI Outdoor 66260: Backpack Event Chair

Great chair for the beach, drink and phone pockets and large back pocket for towel, spare drinks and books

I like these CGI chairs they are sturdy not especially lightweight and the latest one is easier to adjust but it doesn't have the padding of my older one. They come fully assembled.

I bought two of these chairs and so far am liking them a lot! They are comfortable and will be great for the outdoor events that we enjoy attending! Thanks!

This is a great low-profile chair to take to the beach or other outdoor activities. By definition, beach chairs have short legs and are much more stable in the sand than a full-size camping chair. It can be used for camping as well, but will be low for sitting around a campfire IMO. It's also good for sitting on the grass at sporting events as long as no one else is sitting in front of you. This chair is solidly built and feels like it will last for many years. The back can be adjusted to four different angles for sitting upright or kicking back. It is adjusted by lifting the handles. There is a cup holder and a cell phone holder. The back side includes a large pocket for carrying items. Since the intent is to carry the chair on your back like a backpack, this large pocket allows you to carry several other items such as a blanket, snacks, etc. The back of the chair has a ventilation screen, but in order to take advantage of this you'll want to empty the back chair when sitting it up. The seat materials are thick and tough. There is also a small pillow which you can place between your neck and the chair so that the steel frame is not pressing into your neck. I find it comfortable to sit in, especially when slightly reclined. I could easily take a nap in this chair.

I have used this chair for several outings, and it is perfect. The backpack feature is excellent for freeing up your hands to carry all the other stuff moms have to carry. It is not as comfortable as a backpack, but it is more comfortable than a camp chair with one strap and much easier to carry than our GCI rocker. This chair is also more compact than the rocker, so it takes up less space in our crowded trunk. But my favorite feature about this chair is the built-in storage pouch. It is perfect for carrying stuff without having to pack or carry another bag, and then you also have easy access to your belongings right on your chair while relaxing. The phone pouch and water bottle holder are great, too, without adding bulk or weight. The chair has three reclining positions and a comfy built-in pillow, making beach naps delightful. I love this chair more than I thought it would. I'm not sure why it is not marketed as a beach chair because it is perfect for the beach but also great for concerts in the park or camping.
