Hatton Hill 's ground cinnamon (cassia) is made from the bark of the Cinnamomum aromaticum tree, which is harvested and stripped of its outer layer. Our ground cinnamon is hugely versatile, not only in the sweet dishes that spring to mind when most people think of its uses, but also in a wide range of savoury preparations where a sweet-spicy kick is exactly what’s required. It immediately adds an aromatic and flavoursome note to baked goods such as muffins, cakes, biscuits and breads – not to mention doughnuts and pancakes.
