AKORD USB 3.0 Type A Male to Type B Micro USB Y Cable

I purchase to attach an external hard drive to a WiiU. The cable works fine with the hard drive connected and the two USB A male ends both plugged in giving both data and power to the hard drive. I've written around 1.5 TB to the HD with not speed or data loss issues. Inexpensive and does the job well.

I bought this cable trying to get a Toshiba portable HDD to work on my MacBook. It didn't work for my intended purpose (due to incompatibility of the HDD with MacOS rather than a faulty cable). I have tested the cable to confirm it wasn't faulty. For information: There are 2 USB connectors on the cable - one with a blue tab and the other with a white tab. The Blue is regular USB 3.0 with power and data and the White is power only. I have given it 5 star because the cable works. The fact it didn't work for what I bought it for is due to bad advice from the internet rather than a fault of the product.

Very promp service was delivered next day and I am not a Prime member. Product as described and was value for money. Would certainly recommend.

I have a number of external USB hard drive caddies which come with USB connections on them. As is normal for me though I managed to 'misplace' the cables for a couple of them so was left sharing the cable around. This Akord cable is an ideal and reasonably priced replacement. It comes with a USB 3.0 B plug on one side for connecting into the caddy (looks a bit like 2 micro USB plugs side by side). The other side has 1 USB 3.0 plug and a standard USB plug on a fly lead. This second plug is for providing a boost of power as some HDDs and caddies are not very good when connected with only 1 5A power feed. In use I found the cable to be just as good as the cable I already had (and as good as those I lost). It is small enough to fit in the bags I now use for caddies (I am trying to be more organised and not misplace cables again) so hopefully I will always have it to hand when I need to use the drives.

I bought this cable to get a harddrive working properly on my LG TV. The TV only has USB 2 ports, and plugging a USB3 hard drive for recording only worked for a few minutes, then the TV said the device had been disconnected. An LG forum stated the ports can only deliver 500mA per port, a typical USB3 hard drive pulls 1 amp, so the split cable resolved the power issue as it correctly powers the harddrive.

Cheap but effective cable to give stable additional power where a single USB port is not enough. I use this to power an external storage device attached to a Wii U, and it does the job perfectly. Note: check the power of your USB port and the usage of your storage device. You won't need this cable for something sufficiently low powered, such as an M.2 SSD.

I had ordered two of these, because of the cable length and their sturdy looks which made me assume that they would far outlast the usually short lifespan of the standard white cables. Items arrived on time and worked fine initially, but after about two months the first one gave up the ghost. I just realised that the second one followed suit now. If it's rugged looks you're after then go for it, but don't expect them to last any longer than your average iPhone cable.

Got this for a console that needs an extra bit of power to the hard drive to read, works without any faults

USB3.0はUSB2と比べると電力をくいます。でもYケーブルはそれほど沢山売ってないです。使う人も少ないんでしょうね。何種類かケーブルを購入しましたが、このケーブルはきちんと働いてくれています。品物が届くのに2週間ほど待ちましたけど。 わたしは100円ショップでスマホ用のACアダプターを買ってきて、Yケーブルに給電しています。これで安定稼働しています。

Needed a couple of these cables to plug a 4TB drive in to a Sony TV with a separate power supply (5VDC, USB type) because the TV doesn't have enough power to run the drive. Works well now and there are lots of movies and shows on the drive.
