The product was very easy to use and the development time was quick. Mess and stress free. I have dark brown hair and this package is meant for just that, however, my hair didn't come close to the picture on the package despite using it 2 times 45 mins on the ends of my hair. I followed the instructions carefully and the result for me was that my hair turned slightly brown/reddish. Most of my friends just thought that my hair was lighter due to the sun.

Great for lightning hair if youve had a hair disaster

AVOID - turns you bright ginger
I was really excited when I saw this product come out as I was desperate for the dip dye look but cant afford to go to the salon. I have medium brown hair and followed the instructions exactly, I noticed my hair wasnt lifting as quickly as I thought it would so I left it on for the full amount of time the instructions give you. It turned my hair bright ginger and looked terrible. I have since dyed over it with a brown hair dye which im expecting to fade up pretty quick but at least I can leave the house now. If you want the ombre look bite the bullet and go to a salon, do not use this dye kit, its left my hair really dry now.

Not powerful enough to lift dark brown hair past orange.
The lower half of my hair turned orange.

Would need to buy L'Oreal Preference Wild Ombre Dip Dye Kit no. 2
I applied this dye to my hair which is a very dark brown colour, my hair come out darker than the models on the box.So I would recommend buying the second step up for MEDIUM BROWN TO BLONDE hair if a more lighter colour is desired. The brush was also easy to use considering I have afro caribbean hair being mixed race.
