Blueiron Liquid Iron Supplement with Nordic Blueberries

I've been on/off Iron tablets for years now. I'm always borderline anaemic so the Drs usually quibble over prescibing me tablets. Some do, some don't. I know I need them and I'm sick of getting blood tests done and being without iron, feeling tired, then having to go back to Dr, get more tests, get tablets and wait for the iron to kick in again. I've also experienced awful hair loss 5 times in 7 years so I'm scared to be without iron for long incase it happens again (I'm not 100% iron was the cause of my hair shedding but I just don't want to risk it). So I decided to try this on a recommendation. I personally felt better for it within the first 10 days. I'm on my fourth bottle now. It's expensive but I feel like it's worth it. It tastes decent enough, very sweet and blueberry flavour, I manage to swallow it fine (I have an awful gag reflex and can't drink anything nasty). There are no nasty side effects for me. I will continue with this for as long as I can afford to. One star off because this bottle I purchased from Amazon leaked everytime I used it. Since it's such expensive liquid gold I was annoyed at how much I lost each morning when it would leak. I did not get any help from Amazon when I tried to complian about the bottle/lid defect. I have since purchased more from a supermarket and haven't experienced the problem again.

For me, this is - without doubt - the best iron supplement that I have tried. It tastes nice, is much kinder to your stomach that other iron remedies and I feel better for sure! However, I have had problems with the bottle. A couple of bottles ago, the manufacturer changed the lid to a child proof one - a super idea, except that it was incredibly difficult to undo. But I agree that a supplement that tastes so nice should be in a safer container. So I lived with the fact that I found it difficult to push down and turn in order to open it, but I did think that for anyone with less strength or hand weakness, they might struggle to get into the bottle itself. And I have just received my second bottle with the safety lid, but this is coupled with a thinner plastic bottle! So when I pushed down to open the lid, the bottle collapsed and the liquid iron was significantly spilt. I have decantered what I have left into a squeezy Heinze bottle! So all safety hopes are out the window!! ( I don't have young children though:)) I thoroughly recommend this iron supplement and I will buy it again because it does the job that it's supposed to do, but the manufacturer needs to address the bottle. I don't have this trouble with any other product with a similar safety lid. So 3* from me overall - although the liquid iron itself deserves 5* whilst the bottle would get zero if Amazon had one!

People who have purchased this historically will probably be aware there was an issue with the bottle lids in that they didn't close properly and weren't water tight so the product leaked everywhere. This was a major downside on what is otherwise a truly excellent product, both from a taste perspective - it tastes of blueberry juice, and the effects. It makes you feel better literally within a couple of days. As someone with IBS and endometriosis it did not cause my stomach problems but gave me energy and raised iron levels like no other iron supplement has achieved.After speaking with the company directly today - 21/01/21 they have advised the bottle issue was brought to their attention last year and the bottles were redesigned, just unfortunately some of the old ones are still in circlualtion. The company replied to my email within 20 minutes and even offered to replace the faulty ones I had purchased so excellent customer service and I recommend the product just 100% it is excellent quality, taste, and works extremely well. I also bought it for my father who is suffering leukemia and needs to keep his iron intake high.

I am quite surprised that only after a month I have noticed my energy level is better, and to back that up my hemoglobin level has gone up from 118 to 126,to133 so I'm hoping that will get even higher,as I have a blood test every month for other things it will be easy to monitor.However I must complain about the fiddly child proof top which I find very hard to undo as I have arthritic fingers,it just spins around and around and I have spilt some of the precious contents more than once !so I have had to transfer the contents to a more suitable bottle.. also the small plastic measuring spoon included is also fiddly to hold , spilling contents. Changed that too.So thumbs up for the Blue Iron but thumbs down for the silly bottle top, it really should be changed to a sensible design easier to undo, after all its basically berry juice why the need for a fiddly child proof top ?

Great product BUT the bottle aperture is far too big and liquid too thin. You try to pour onto the spoon and it comes gushing out. I must have wasted as much as I have taken, which given the price, is unacceptable. The bottle cap too is dodgy. It won’t go back on properly. It’s a safety cap but doesn’t fit very well at all.

This does taste great and the blueberry flavour does help a lot. I've given 4 stars as the lid doesn't fit. When I shake it before taking, it leaks out of the bottle, and not just a little! Such a shame. Glasses are in there for a sense of size.

I find this really helps me with tiredness, (and bruises), especially when recently going through 6 rounds of chemo.Absolutely would get a 5 star review but for the recent change to the absurd child proof cap which leaks and dribbles and is hard to get off or on. I wish we could opt for the cap we want.

Im a female vegetarian runner with low iron levels. I take iron supplements as a result. I normally use spate apple flavour but wanted to try something else so gave this a go. It comes in a bottle so you have to measure out a spoonful, which sometimes can be tricky as it often spills over - but that may be because I'm not quite awake when I'm taking it. Initially the taste is lovely but then after about 5 mins or so, your left with a rather unpleasant metallic taste in the mouth. As a result I gave up with it and went back to spate. Shame as the blueberry tests initially really is very lovely.
