St.Tropez Gradual Tan, In Shower Tanning Body Lotion, For a Medium Golden Glow, PETA Certified, 200 ml

I bought this product to help remove some of the brightness of my super pale/pasty skin before I went on holiday. I had never used fake tan before but my friend recommended using this to build up a gradual tan and at ~£6, I thought why not.I applied this on my own, with zero experience and it went well. The first day I plastered it on all over my body, rinsed my palms and waited 3 mins. I then lightly showered with soap (I did soap all of my body until it didn't feel sticky) and got out expecting to be a bronzed goddess... I wasn't.The second day, I did the same thing and stepped out with a noticeable glow. I went to see my mum afterwards and she immediately commented on my skin, saying how healthy I looked and that I was glowing (and then asked if I was pregnant..).This product definitely gave me the glow I was hoping for after 2 days (maybe if you're not pale it may take 3 or 4 days to achieve a noticeable glow) and would have been a perfect pre-holiday tan had my holiday not been cancelled.I would say I still have at least 2 applications left but will buy this product again.

I've used this product on and off for at least a year... personally what I really like is the convenience, being able to apply this as part of a normal daily shower that adds only 5 minutes to your routine. Sunbeds are bad for your skin and other gradual tanners take time to dry, smell and rub off on bed sheets. This has none of those problems.I find if I've let the tan fade by not using this for a long time then it takes a good 5 applications at least before I see any results. I tend to apply twice daily (morning and night) and very gently wash it off, this way I usually get my tan back in 2/3 days. Once I have the right amount of colour I then apply every other day to maintain. It tends to fade quickly if I don't keep topping it up every other day however your own mileage will vary. If you are not seeing any results you might need to switch to the medium version - this is what I use. I have never tried the light version.Some of the other reviews seem to be forgetting that this is a gradual tan, it gives a sun kissed look after about 3-6 applications but will not make you look like you've just returned from 6 months in Africa after the first application or ever for that matter - adjust expectations accordingly! If that's what you want then you need to be looking at full on self tan, not gradual tan and especially not a gradual tan you wash off after 3 minutes.Be careful with nails, I've never had any streaks or brown/yellow patches on skin but if I forget to rinse it off my nails then I've noticed they have a yellow tint for a day or so after. Smell wise, very minor all tanning products have "that smell", it's hardly noticeable with this I find that up to 6 hours after application I catch the smell very faintly at times but I can't smell it all the time. I certainly would have no worries doing an application before heading into work.I have accidentally left it on for longer than 3 minutes before, I can't say I've seen any negative results. Again your own mileage will vary and it's probably not worth experimenting. I find that a bottle will last me around 6 weeks once I'm into a routine and maintaining the tan (I do full body, if you are only doing face then it'll last a lot longer). If I'm trying to build the tan or starting again after it's faded then I'll go through a bottle in about 2 to 3 weeks due to the extra applications (again do your own thing this is only what works for me).I'd say this is expensive compared to other gradual tans but for the convenience you get by being able to apply this quickly in the shower and then forget about it, I'd say the price is worth it.

I'm guessing the reason most people are here is that they don't want the fake bake look, who does right?Well i bought this after an amazing holiday where I came back golden brown....of course, the English weather doesn't keep a tan going for long and I soon found myself back to my regular non-tanned self, so I wanted to top it up and see how I can get something to keep me tanned but not over the top.I've seen a lot of reviews disappointed with the results and I have some advice that I guarantee will lead to amazing results. Firstly apply LIBERALLY! And I mean apply a good amount, it should be thick on you and be rubbed in, in circles. If you rub it in and its thin on the skin, you're doing it wrong. Think of a thick grease smeared on you thick haha! That is what i did and it worked.Leave for 10 minutes, minimum. I tried 3 minutes for the first week and got nothing, at the risk of almost giving up I thought let me try a week of 10 minutes left on and see how it goes, i've never looked back. Albeit i don't do this everyday, possibly 2-3 times a week, but in any event it works and there is no streaks, no patches, no dark areas just an even toned tan that is unbeatable!I'd recommend to anyone looking for a genuine gradual in shower tan, and not people who expect to be 3 shades darker in 3 minutes

I’ve bought this brand a few times and it Was good, and after about a week of using it on my legs they did have a slight tan, But recently I’ve not been impressed, it’s taken longer and not very much tan going on,not sure if they’ve changed some of the way it’s made but I’m not buying it again I’ll research other products which are less expensive, and actually work better and quicker.

Absolutely in love with this product now 😍 its so subtle and gives a lovely glow or more bronzed depending how often you use it! I'm using it about 3 times a week to keep up the bronze effect and its dead easy! Agree with other reviewers, leave on for 10 mins minimum for good results and longer if you want it more dramatic. Use a good nail brush or body brush to really get the tan off your palms of hands and soles of feet 😃 make sure to exfoliate your knees elbows and knuckles well as it tends to go slightly slightly orange if you don't 👍 very happy really recommended 👌 won't look like a ghost come summer now 😆🙌
