THIS PRODUCT WORKS!!
I read mixed reviews of this item, with some people saying that it was useless, so I thought I should reassure customers that it is an excellent product if used according to the instructions. I lost a chunk of enamel from a heavily-filled tooth just after the start of the COVID-19 lock-down, so needed to effect a temporary repair. It is now almost a week since I filled the cavity with this product and it shows no signs of loosening or erosion. I made sure that the cavity was dry and scraped it clean with some excellent Terresa dental tools that I bought at the same time. I rolled up some kitchen towel to soak up saliva and placed this under my tongue and around the gum-line. I then pushed the product into the cavity and smoothed it off with the spatula supplied. Waiting 15 minutes was the most difficult thing and I helped the product to set by using a hairdryer. I am delighted with the repair and have enough remaining product for several repeat attempts, if necessary. It says that the repair should last for a month by which time I hope that the lock-down will be over and I can visit my dentist. It also says that the product is not strictly adhesive, so you do need a cavity that is undercut so that the material doesn't just drop out. If this is what you have, then don't hesitate. Buy this product!

Good temporary fix
I lost half a molar several weeks back and getting dental help at the moment is a bit of a bit of a nightmare. I ended up with an infection and managed to get that resolved, but didn't want it happening again waiting for full treatment. So I used this to 'plug the gap' and it held up for about three weeks before wearing away, the second application is now a week in and all is good and will hopefully see me through to my date for a proper fix. This doesn't 'adhere', you need something to key it into to get it to grip which is quite clear about. I used cotton pads to make sure the area remained dry and gave it a good half an hour to harden. The fact it's doing the job of half a tooth, and doing it pretty well, shows it works fine if you do it right. It does have a rather unpleasant taste for a while after which is where it loses a star, but an infected tooth isn't much fun either and doesn't go away after a few hours!

Really happy with this
I had a tooth which had broken & had taken quite a large filling with it (upper right). I bought this as I couldn’t get a dentist over the weekend & started experiencing pain. I won’t lie, it was quite awkward to place the mixture exactly where I wanted it, & initially kept coming out as it was an upper tooth, but I stuck with it, & eventually got enough of it in there to cover the hole/gap. I made sure the area was clean and dry before application, obviously being careful not to further aggravate the area, & once the stuff stayed in there, it did a fine job, & did give me pain relief. I only had it in for 2 days before I saw a dentist, but I honestly had the feeling that it would have lasted quite significantly longer than that if required. Would highly recommend, although I must stress that I’m not sure how well this would work if you had really severe pain, but definitely worth a try.

Short term use
Easy to use but tends to fall out after a day or 2, fine as a temporary tooth fill until tooth sorted by dentist

LESS THAN USELESS
I've had this product for about 20 days, and on average I have had to refill it all again from scratch on average every 5 days. This time I've had it in for 2 days and its all come out in the act of eating 4 ryvita and cheese. The taste is terrible. I thought the metallic residue from my filling falling out was just the worst but the permanent taste of filler is its own brand of worst. Nothing and I mean nothing tastes like it should. Anyhow for the desperate who don't know if they are going to have these problems: it takes a good hour to set and during that time you must not allow any saliva to touch it because saliva just causes it to melt. So along with buying this also buy plenty of double faced cotton wool pads to pack into your mouth - I went through about 20 pads the last time - 2 days ago. Something about the disgustingness of the filler triggers the saliva gland to reproduce saliva at a colossal rate.

Excellent product
First thoughts: The product is easy to apply and probably ideal if you only need it for a week or so and don't mind reapplying it regularly but I have to wait 2 months until I get my NHS repair so I need something a little more durable. I'm being very careful and avoiding the area when eating but a chunk broke off this morning with just some gentle tooth brushing. Update: It's over a month into my 2 month wait and my opinion of this product is greatly improved. Yes, I've had to replace it 4 times, but it's easy to do (you definitely get better at it) and it has given me pain free peace of mind. I have bought a new tube for my 6 day trip to Germany. As my teeth are nearly 60 now, I think a tube of this will probably always be part of my travel packing now.

Great product - but doesn't really last long, at least you can reuse it.

I think it works well I did listen to the reviewer you definitely want to make sure the spot is dry for at least a good 10 to 15 minutes but it works perfectly for me

En vez de pagar 100 euros al dentista por 10 puedo hacer 20 empastes en casa que aguantan muy bien y parece ser el mismo material que el del dentista. Bien desinfectar i vacillar la zona a llenar i no mezclar con saliva.

This stuff is almost impossible to apply yourself. You have to completely dry out your mouth and keep it completely dried out. I finally managed to get it in there and 30 minutes later realized it was gone. So apparently I ate it. Great!!! It simply does stick in the tooth if there is any amount of moisture INSIDE YOUR MOUTH at all. Waste of money since it's not refundable. Don't buy this.
