Review: A bargain & I love it!! - I previously had (and have still got) a Timex Expedition watch that I bought quite a few years ago. It had an analogue clock face but a digital date function & alarm. I never really got on with the digital functions then lost the instructions so the date & alarm were useless. For my latest holiday, I decided to get a new Expedition watch with analogue clock face, analogue date function & the usual & very useful Indiglo night-light system (much better than a luminous face & hands). This latest model fitted the bill perfectly and, for the money (£24), is a complete bargain. It has a dark brown case & watch face with white figures (24 hour clock also in smaller yellow figures) plus the Indiglo lighting system (just press in the winder to activate this) and a good nylon material strap & buckle with enough adjustment to fit the widest wrist. It doesn't have any bling but I didn't want that anyway. It is tough, practical & functional & is amazingly accurate. The ticking may be a bit loud for some folk in the dead of the night but it hasn't disturbed my sleep so this is not an issue with me. If it remains as reliable as my previous Expedition watch, I will be even more delighted with it than I am on first impressions. I love it!!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: How do you set the date?  I've ordered 2 of these and can't get the date to rotate at all.**
A: Ah the mysterious time set. Pull the stem out to the second to last stop. BUT, it won't do you much good until you figure out what the numbers signify. I tried to set the "date" for the 15th (today) but the number 15 doesn't appear. And i've turned that think backward and forward. I have absolutely no idea why Timex even included the feature.

**Q: Does this watch's band have a quick release pin system?**
A: Yes it does. The holes for the spring pins are "blind," meaning they do not go through the "ears" on the watch case through to the outside. 

For the record, I would not call spring pins "a quick release system." As likely as not when I change a watch band held in place with spring pins I struggle to get the precision screwdriver on the compression part of the spring, and sometimes I manage to launch the pins across the room when the screwdriver slips.

**Q: Does it have a night glow feature ?**
A: Yes, this watch features Indiglo night-light, activated by pressing the crown.

**Q: Is replacing the band something easily done by an ordinary person, or it is better done by someone trained (in a store)?**
A: It is easy to replace the band. Similar to other watches. I do not know were you can purchase velcro replacement bands

Good quality analog watch, decent price, has small digital display as well but a bit hard to figure out how to set it. Has backlight function you can press if its really dark.
