Araldite Crystal Tubes (2 x 15ml) ARA400008

Such a handy epoxy resin to have for us ! We needed it to mend some costume jewellery, did just the job ! There are different epoxy resins to join different materials, so do seriously consider your needs, and which type of epoxy resin will do the job for you ! And as if I can't stress it enough, do consider that there are many different types of epoxy resins, in different shades, for different ranges of strength required to glue materials together ! As a glue to have just in case, it is now there with the other range of glues that we have for different needs, this comes in really handy to have for whenever it's needed for specific repairs or gluing for us ! To this day the small opal beads we glued are still attached to the dress ! This is really easy to mix together for use, ( 2 part epoxy resin - 2 tubes included - 1x resin and 1x hardener, 1x mixing spatula, and the plastic cover that comes as part of the package, has a handy little tub shaped indent in it for mixing the resin and hardener in ! ). Spent long time reading reviews for all resin type glues. Based on previous reviews i decided to go for this Araldite. Using it for jewelley. Its clear when dry and ive found it sticks so well to gold or silver. It can be drilled or sanded with fine 2000 grade sand paper. Tried many different glues in the past. GorillaGlue ive found takes too long to harden and is impossible to get it out of the twin squeezer. These Araldite tubes are separate so therefore it only harfens when mixed together so there is no wastage.. it keeps so well. My Grandfather used to use Araldite 30 years ago and i still think its best on the market

I used this to fix a bowl I smashed. Found it pretty straightforward to mix; and didn’t have to hold it for too long for it to hold. Seems like a pretty sturdy hold. Did the job and wasn’t too expensive.

I have been looking for something like this when I chanced upon it. I wanted to hang some GLASS plates on the wall. Initially I used adhesive plate hanger disc but this spoils the look and colour of the plate as 1. The colour yellow of disc shows through the glass plates 2. The plates was hanging a little tilted off the wall. I have white walls, the glass plates were turquoise with hues of blues and the disc was yellow. Then I tried using Sugru, the mouldable glue. Sadly that didn't stick as the plates were too heavy. Then I found this super crystal epoxy glue on Amazon. Exactly what I needed. Three days later, the glue arrived. I shaped some pins into "U" shape, mixed a 10p size blob of glue on the back of the plate the then stick the pin into it, propping it with some paper. The glue hardened in 2 hours but I left it for 24 hours just to be really sure. Absolutely happy with the results. The glue stuck the pins to the back of the plate very well. I bend the U shaped pins and hung the plates on the wall. Simply fantastic! I am sure I will find many uses for this glue. Being clear makes it very versatile.

I have used this to re-attach two handles to mugs and also to fix a gorgeous cake stand I have whose demise I had been mourning until I thought of trying this. The instructions are very easy to follow. Simply mix equal parts from both tubes and apply to both surfaces to be joined together. They then need to be held in place. I don't have clamps so for the mugs, I used masking tape to hold them in position. The cake stand, I simply put two of my heaviest books (both about cooking and baking) on top to weigh it down. I left them all there overnight to be on the safe side. I'm delighted that the results are brilliant! My two mugs and lovely cake stand are now fully operational. I have already had four coffees in one mug - simply to test of course, it's not as if I'm addicted to coffee...! The photos show the repaired items and I am pointing to where the stem of the base snapped and is now glued back together. The mugs I didn't really mind if I couldn't fix. But the cake stand is another matter as it was quite expensive. I am a very happy customer and strongly recommend this product.

Bought this to repair small crack in porcelain garden table top at first it looked good but after a few days it has gone yellow in the sun. Wish I hadn’t bothered. Now trying to find away to remove it. So not suitable for what I wanted it for but would be good for other uses

Glue quality: I built a cover to hang over a bed that is on a deck. The deck is already covered by a large lexan canopy but due to small leakages that occur in the large cover water drips on the bed. Accordingly I built a secondary protective screen that is 10 x 8 made from two and a half sheets of lexan and framed with wood. This protective shield is held in place by hooks against the house and by hanging chains on the opposite end. The framed structure is so large that the panels sag. To deal with this I use a chain in the very middle of the panels to lift the center enough to eliminate the sag. I accomplished attaching a chain in the middle by adhering a small circle of wood with a hook screwed into it. I sought the strongest epoxy I could find to glue the circle of wood to the poly carbonate (lexan) panel. This epoxy is awesomely strong! I tested it first using a trial piece of lexan and afterwards moved ahead with using it with no reservations whatsoever. The outcome was terrific! I treasure having this epoxy available for whatever future need comes up.
