Perfect for Photographers and Reliable as Always from Anker
The Anker 4-Port USB 3.0 Ultra Slim Data Hub has been an absolute game-changer for me as a photographer. I constantly need multiple USB ports for transferring large files from various flash drives, external hard drives, and other devices, and this hub handles everything with ease. The build quality is excellent—exactly what I’ve come to expect from Anker products. It feels solid and well-made, which is reassuring when you’re using it daily. The transfer speeds are fantastic. Whether I’m moving high-resolution photos or videos, the speed doesn’t drop off even when I’m using multiple ports at once. It stays consistently fast, which is crucial for my workflow. Despite its slim design, it holds up really well under heavy use, making it extremely convenient to carry around when I’m on location or travelling with my laptop. At such a reasonable price, this data hub offers outstanding value. It delivers top-tier performance without the premium price tag. If you need extra USB ports and fast transfer speeds, especially for professional use, you can’t go wrong with this one. Highly recommend!

Just as good as the units I bought years back from Anker, a great product.
I had just bought a cheap hub for £3, that said it was USB3, but turned out to be USb2, buy cheap buy twice!. I have bought Anker products from Amazon in the past, but its been a few years, so it was not fresh in my memory. It works fine, a slightly different design to the older slopped version, but it looks slightly better built. I had no problems with installation, or using a USB3 extension cable with it. I great product, that I would recommend to anybody, that needs USB3.

Works perfectly and gives you 4 extra memory stick sockets
Purchased as memory sticks were too wide to fit in sockets next to one another. This data hub connects to one of the sockets and two wide memory sticks can be fitted at the same time but not next to one another as there are 4 sockets available for use. Very useful as data is regularly copied over from one stick to another and this was impossible to do before. The data hub works well, is very light in weight and there is no problem if it doesn't sit flat on the table due to the cord being relatively short.

Is This the Best USB Hub for Your Data Needs?
The Anker USB Hub is a compact and affordable USB hub that offers four USB 3.0 ports. It is ideal for expanding the number of USB ports on your laptop or desktop computer, allowing you to connect multiple devices, such as external hard drives, USB flash drives, and printers. The Hub is also very portable, making it a great option for travellers. It is powered by the USB port it is connected to, so there is no need for an external power adapter.----- Pros and Cons------Pros:1- Fast data transfer: The hub can sync data at up to 5Gbps, which is much faster than USB 2.0 hubs that can only reach up to 480Mbps. This means you can transfer large files, such as movies, music, or photos, in seconds without any lag or delay.2- Big expansion: The hub can transform one of your computer’s USB ports into four, giving you more options to connect multiple devices at once. You can use it to access your data, charge your phone, use a wired mouse or keyboard, or connect other peripherals.3- Extra tough: The hub is designed for heat resistance and durability, with a sturdy aluminium alloy casing and reinforced cable. It can withstand high temperatures, bends, twists, drops, and bumps without breaking or malfunctioning.4- Easy to use: The hub is plug-and-play, meaning you don’t need any drivers or software to use it. It is compatible with Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, and other operating systems. It also has a blue LED indicator that shows when the hub is powered on and working properly.Cons:1- Not for charging: The hub is not designed to charge devices, as it does not support power delivery or fast charging protocols. It can only provide a small amount of power (up to 900mA) to the connected devices, which may not be enough for some devices such as tablets or laptops. If you need a hub that can charge your devices as well as transfer data, you might want to look for another option.2- Compatibility issues: Some users have reported compatibility issues with some devices, such as wireless keyboards and mice, MIDI devices, or some USB 3.0 devices. These devices may not work properly or may interfere with each other when connected to the hub. This may be due to the interference of the 2.4 GHz wireless frequency or the limited bandwidth of the USB 3.0 protocol. To avoid these issues, you might want to check the compatibility of your devices before buying the hub.--Reasons to Buy:You should consider buying the Anker USB Data Hub if:-You need more USB ports for your computer: If your computer has only one or two USB ports, or if they are occupied by other devices, you might find yourself running out of ports to connect your data devices. The hub can solve this problem by giving you four extra ports to use.-You want fast data transfer: If you work with large files or need to transfer data frequently, you might appreciate the speed and efficiency of the hub. It can sync data at up to 5Gbps, which is 10 times faster than USB 2.0 hubs. You can save time and avoid frustration by using the hub.-You value portability and durability: If you travel a lot or move your computer often, you might want a hub that is easy to carry and can withstand wear and tear. The hub has a slim and lightweight design that fits in your pocket or bag. It also has a tough and heat-resistant construction that can endure high temperatures and physical impacts.--Reasons to AvoidYou should avoid buying the Anker Hub if:-You need a hub for charging: If you want a hub that can charge your devices as well as transfer data, you might be disappointed by the hub. It does not support power delivery or fast charging protocols, and it can only provide a small amount of power to the connected devices. You might need a separate charger or a different hub for your charging needs.-You have compatibility issues with some devices: If you have devices that use the 2.4 GHz wireless frequency, such as wireless keyboards and mice, or some USB 3.0 devices, such as external hard drives or webcams, you might encounter compatibility issues with the hub. These devices may not work properly or may interfere with each other when connected to the hub. You might need to check the compatibility of your devices before buying the hub or look for another hub that works better with your devices.---Conclusion---The Anker USB 3.0 Data Hub is a small and speedy hub that can expand your computer’s USB ports and transfer data at blazing speeds. It has a sleek and durable design that is easy to use and carry around. However, it is not suitable for charging devices or for some devices that use the 2.4 GHz wireless frequency or some USB 3.0 devices. If you need a hub for these purposes, you might want to look for another option.Overall, I think it is a good product for people who need more USB ports and fast data transfer for their computers.

Solution for lap tops particularly with limited USB ports. 1 Male to converts to 4 female ports
Was introduced to this by an ACER Fitter who came to sort out an interface problem between the lap top and a device and found that the female export USB on the lap-top had become damaged and not conducting data. Two others which worked no issue but I needed the third which was dead and another, making four ports in total. This solved the problem by making one female USB ports in to four. allowing USB connections to printers, keyboards for peoples' hand who can't deal with small lap-top boards, CD-ROM drives and other plug in Memory stick/drives.Three port machine becomes a 12 port with one of these in each of the three machine's female ports. in effect creating 9 extra ports available.Does not like plug in wireless internet inter-faces such as "net gear" as it relies on the CD Driver being accepted by the lap top itself as a dedicated inter-faceVery good, reliable interface and back up for lap tops particularly where USB ports tend to be more fragile. Can be carried in a brief case or pocket but would suggest that it is in some sort of envelope to keep the ports dust free.Very good value tool and emergency periphory.
