LARGE GRILL & FIRE STARTER KIT

If you happened to live in a part of the country or world where you can set up a quick camp, pull some firewood together, and start a cowboy type fire, this product is perfect. I love the fact that it folds up to make it even more compact. It is pretty stable when it's expanded. I used it a few times since purchasing, and did not notice any rust or anything. What I did do was put some butter all over it before I used it over an open fire. This helped to char and season the metal so that nothing would stick to it. After use, I wrapped it up in some paper towels coming in through it into my beer canister so that no animals or crawlies would get to it with any residual meat or vegetable odors. I haven't washed mine yet, just because I felt like I didn't need to. It's like a good cast iron pan. You just wipe it with some paper towels, let it sit in the fire a bit to burn off and Char any residual food material, then wrap it in a paper towel, and pack it back in your bag when done with your trip, or camping adventure. For the survivalist type people, this is a great little Grill to have in your get home bag, or bug out bag. I feel like it comes in handy in an emergency if you need to cook something up over an open flame.

I did use these in the woods for steak. I was pretty impressed but I did use another tool for elevation and then put the grills on top of that. It was a simple wire frame stand for boil pot. Extremely basic. It worked great. The welds looked clean, no rough scratchy edges. Its exactly what you would hope it to be. One half is great for 2 steaks. So do with that what you will. I recommend this item, it is well made and works great.

This a great board to cook on or put whatever you want to set on it well built and heavy could stand to be a bit lighter good size also

I took a star off because the knife was not included In the packaging. It wasn’t a big deal to me, but the person I am going backpacking with was looking forward to taking the knife. Other than that, I am happy with the purchase and the quality of the grill looks good along with the cutting board.

great for hiking vompct light and easy to use

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this little grill. It has a little weight to it, so it's not some cheap made grill. I bought this to sit on top of my FIREBOX NANO stove. IT fits a little oversized, but that is exactly what I wanted. If I put a little aluminum foil on it, It will make a great diffuser for my camp pots to stop the black soot from firewood, or use as a grill. I always feel good when I make a purchase that does double duty. Score on this one. It's a keeper. I also purchased their small cutting board. This company goes above and beyond to show they believe in quality. They gave me a burlap bag to keep the grill in, and the cutting board fits inside the bag, too. Happy with my purchase.

I was looking for just a plain, small grill grate to use while camping. What intrigued me about the model I purchased (the folding grill) was its ability to be one sized grill (6"x6") and then unfold to become another size (6"x12"). Pros: -Simple and effective design -Overall size -Portability -Versatility -Very sturdy even when unfolded (hinges are welded) Cons: -The storage option it comes with is a cinch-style hemp burlap sack. I understand the aesthetic behind it (Bushcraft etc.) but would have liked to have seen something with a Velcro closure in a ripstop nylon, or even Cordura option. Nothing tactical, but something sturdy to stand up to the elements, and provide more adequate protection. Understanding that the cost would likely increase, depending on where it would go, I would still be on board. With all that being said, I can't justify removing a star from their rating for that. Not a whole lot wrong with this item at all! Works great at what it's intended for, and is currently serving me well! I would certainly recommend this to someone in the market for a lighter, more portable, camp cooking option.

Was looking for something like this for so long. Mainly use it for camping in national/provincial parks. Nothing beats knowing you have a clean grill to cook off of. The fact it’s foldable is even better. Fits in my yeti gobox perfectly. Knife is sharp and compact. Haven’t used the cutting board, but first look, it’s solid and sturdy.

Did not receive Bamboo cutting board and knife ????

I purchased this set mainly for motorcycle & kayak camping & it is perfect in my opinion for those needs & camping in general. It's really well made & designed, very lightweight & very compact & portable. A great buy.

Its perfect and well made. I wish the cutting board was foldable 12inch as well and not 6 inches toy size. But I like it. And I wish the knife was a bit bigger(also a toy size)
