Learning Resources Playfoam Starter Original Pack (Set of 4), EI-1900

These are really fun tactile little beads. The little foam beads don't change their shape but they stick together magically so that you can mould the mass into different shapes, separate it, roll it, poke holes in it, squidge it. They are addictive to play with. We use ours on a tray or a table because we found that if they get on a carpet they get bits of fluff stuck in them. We store ours in a airtight box but you don't need to.

This is good fun and much handier and less messier than playdough. The girls love the texture (as do the parents) and it can keep them involved for long periods. It however does pick up a lot of dirt from the surfaces it is used on and once colours get mixed, then near impossible (or will take a long time and considerable patience) to separate them. All in all good fun and cheap. Very good for sensory stimulation and for gross motor skills in children. If the balls do separate then easiest way to pick them up is to use a bigger ball of the play foam to dab it up. Worth a try

Slightly disappointed it was smaller than expected however the quality is great and my niece loved it.

I use these as a stress ball at work. I know they're technically a kids toy, but I really like the feel of the foam. I also like that you can rip it apart and put it back together. I use one foam ball at a time, when it gets a bit grotty, I just bin it and start on a new one. It doesn't leave any residue so it's great to use at my desk in the office. I also keep the foam ball out on my desk when i'm not using it, and so far they haven't dried up (it's been weeks) As for a kids toy, parents might be disappointed that the foam can get grotty quite quickly (especially if kids with dirty hands use them), but as these foam balls are super cheap I don't think you can expect longevity from them.

The kids (as well as I) love these. This is very similar to playdough but less messy. The texture of it is foreign, it makes the kids not want to put it down. I also find that this is easier to sculpt and make things from it than playdough. We’ve had these for a couple of weeks and they don’t seem to dry up at all which is a huge bonus. They do however get a bit smaller once you play with them for a while, but my kids just combine them all together so they don’t really feel much of a difference. On the whole, I highly recommend these. P.s. the colours in the picture are what you get.

Arrived with 2 out of 4 foams missing. The 2 foams that were there were open and dried out

This is really good for a sensory/messy play toy. It’s a foamy like texture and doesn’t dry out like ordinary playdoh or slime. It’s so easy to clean up you just use another piece to pick up the broken off parts, sticks right back together. It’s not ovally stretchy and does break up rather then stretch so not too suitable for littler ones. (Also has polystyrene type balls in). It also has no horrible smell to it!! Would defiantly buy more.

Was so excited for this but it was so dry and hard. Out of the pack and directly to the bin. Waste of money.
