Hi MarionThe Pans are all on the small side, there is one egg frying pan, the next frying pan is slightly larger and the largest saucepan I would say is a medium size..Although having said that they cover what I want as I normally only cook for two, they are excellent quality and you would be surprised how good they are, if you are cooking for a large family I wouldnt bother.

Are these safe or is there a chance the non-stick coating will leak into food on high temperature?

Very safe. I've been using everyday since purchase and still looks new.

Do the pan lids have drainage holes?

No, just a small steam outlet hole on the top - the best pan I ever bought for that was a Meyer which had pouring spouts on the pan and 2 sizes of drainage holes on the lid - fab pan - never been able to find another like it, sadly !
