Fantastic cup of coffee every morning from these pods. You can have them with or without milk. Most restaurants where they offer a white or black coffee is actually really offering an americano with or without milk. You just need 1 pod for the drink, so that means each box contains 16(!!) servings. These are made from 100% arabica coffee beans. What that means is that the coffee is 'premium' and doesn't taste bitter. The taste is nice and strong and contains a full body. The americano isn't as strong as some of the other Dolce Gusto pods, but in my opinion this is a good thing as it is 'safer' for guests etc. It is real coffee too - it's not instant. I cut open the pod after using it to see if the coffee has dissolved (i.e. if it is instant) and no, it is definitely ground coffee kept fresh in the air tight pod. I won't comment on Amazon prices as they change quite regularly, but on the Dolce Gusto website, you can get a box of these for £3.99. £3.99 / 16 = 25p per cup. Why keep going to get your morning coffee from cafes / restaurants when you can save so much from using these pods? The Dolce Gusto machine produces up to 15 bars of pressure which means the coffee is essentially going to be the same as that from the restaurant / cafe. If you don't have a machine, get one. You will get your return in investment really quickly. Really happy with Dolce Gusto!

Well perhaps not quite as I must admit that whilst these capsules are good, they are not quite that good, but rather than go into town on a Saturday morning for a cup of the cup that cheers, I think that I might just sit on our patio and read my own paper for a change. I really think that these and the espresso cartridges are great, not so keen on the Mocha and haven't tried any of the others. These capsules provide me with a full bodied and smooth cup of coffee that would probably satisfy Niles and Frazier! Yes they are that good. At the end of the day, these capsules provide me with a good cup of coffee, albeit not as good as freshly ground, far far far better than a spoon out of a jar. I am extremely happy with them and they are ideal in a morning before I set off for work.

Wife bought me a Dolce Gusto Coffee Machine. Won't work other than with these capsules, so I either purchase them or stop using the machine. Currently working out the economics. It is convenient, simple, clean, not eco-friendly as used capsules have to be thrown away, and it's a pain to recover the coffee grounds for composting. The coffee is fine. Amazon delivery arrives on-time and I'm given the opportunity to stop a scheduled delivery. There are a few variants of coffee, but I'd like a few more varieties to choose from.

I bought these to use with our office machineand I was pleasantly surprised. I drink a lot of different coffees from Square Mile single estates, to Pret americanos. This will never compare to a freshly ground good quality americano but is a perfectly acceptable alternative for day-to-day use and much better than instant. It is a fairly light flavour, with low acidity and no bitterness to speak of (depending on how it is made). Works out at around 20p per cup - very good value.

When you get a Dolce Gusto and the missus is downing Chocochinos and Capuccinos you find you need to join in, and if you like a decent strong cup of coffee without going down the Expresso route then this is it. Cafe Lungo is another decent one. You can follow the 'size' guidelines but I find that eventually you just find a good cup size and stick with it. Used to buy them off the Nescafe site but you have to spend £35 to get free postage so these on Amazon do work out better if you don't want to spend that much.

When in Starbucks, Costa etc. I always order an Americano with hot Milk. I find other drinks all froth and no coffee. So when I bought these I was expecting to be disappointed. However its amazing. Really great taste! If you like Illy or any other quality ground coffees you'll love it. I add a drop of milk and its just perfect, better than all the Big Chain Americano's! Put the pod in and flip the hot water and you're done. Highly Recommended to all coffee lovers!

Good flavour and arrived quickly

I've been purchasing this over and over as Americano is my favorite flavor. I've tried Starbucks Americano multiple times and it's not nearly as good.

Ho sempre ritenuto il caffè americano come una "sottospecie" invece quello di Nescafè mi ha fatto ricredere tanto che lo prendo più volte al giorno con molto piacere.

Ein milder runder Kaffee. Erinnert mich an meinen Urlaub in den USA. Ich liebe Kaffee und von dem dünnen amerikanischen Zeug kann man unbedenklich große Mengen trinken. Ist eher nichts für den Barista aber wer Filterkaffee mochte wird diesen lieben.
