An explosive story from the mad genius behind Chainsaw Man and Look Back ! Young filmmaker Yuta contemplates suicide after the death of his mother, but a chance meeting with a mysterious girl will alter his life in an explosive way. From the mad genius behind Chainsaw Man and Look Back comes a new story about coping with loss. Yuta’s moviemaking career started with a request from his mother to record her final moments. After her death, Yuta meets a mysterious girl named Eri, who takes his life in new directions. The two begin creating a movie together, but Eri is harboring an explosive secret. Review: timeless - This does not get tiring to read as I had hoped. Good quality that arrived in time for me to read it on a road trip. Review: Cinema - Tatsuki Fujimoto is a huge film enthusiast, which anyone who has read chainsaw man, fire punch, or his other one shots can confirm. Fujimoto does an absolutely amazing job at drawing and telling a story which feels like a motion picture, despite being in the form of a manga. His paneling is exemplary as he displays well scenes which are made to form a fine line between reality, and filmography. I also think this is some of Fujimoto's best art displayed. The overall quality of the character designs, especially facial expressions (which he has always been good at) are high. This plot and theme of this story are also things that can be discussed, interpreted, and analyzed for a while after reading since Fujimoto leaves much that can be interpreted in various ways.

Amazing story, but my book had gray pages
I’m giving 5 stars for this beautiful story, but the book itself had a bunch of pages that were gray from a lack of ink while printing. It looks worse in person than the photo I’m showing. It’s a bit disappointing. I have another book from Sig that was fine so maybe I just got unlucky. Either way, this manga from Fujimoto was super awesome.

Didnt resonate with me, but was interesting.
Exaggerated drama, a little twisted, a little morbid. Gave it a try, found it "ok", but easy to read. BUT The writing was solid. Good art. Characters developed (it ~is a Character piece, not really a traditional story). Pacing was slow but appropriate for the style, and the ending had me thinking after closing the book. A notable point in the character writing is that many styles of Japanese ..... templates? ... dont always translate well in the west and can be hard to take serious. But while a bit over saturated, the characters were quite comfotable to follow and I think it tells what it wanted to. I dont regret reading it, and there is an audience for this that should read it. EDIT - Im been trying to describe the feel for it, and I kinda want to say its like a morbid Wes Anderson story.

Emotional rollercoaster
A emotional rollercoaster, I couldn’t tell if I was supposed to be happy, sad, or laughing, the whole time, and the ending had me almost laughing and had me a little sad at the same time.
