New or old no matter when you started to follow F1, this is the book for enthusiasts of all types! Full of great useful information about each F1 track and race. My son loves it as he is wanting to be more engaged in conversations with other enthusiasts of F1.

This book has much to commend it -- but as a long time and hard core F1 fan, the book lacks depth and detail. On the plus side, this book walks through the complete history of F1 with information about all of the circuits that have hosted a World Championship Grand Prix from the oldest tracks to the newest. It is a fascinating journey, particularly for circuits that have been abandoned over the years and those that have been significantly altered over time. Having said that, the write ups for each circuit are short and do not explore the on track happenings in much depth and what little is said in the write-up is then repeated in the graphical representations of the track. Another odd editorial choice is the inconsistency about the track maps for circuits that have run in different configurations and the lack of discussion about those changes over time. The maps for a few such circuits comprehensively include all such alternatives with the years that a given variant was run. For others, only some of the variations are represented. Worse, for many circuits, alternate configurations are not shown at all. Likewise, the record for fastest laps do not account for the multiple configurations -- another missed opportunity that would have better illustrated the history of the circuits and the sport.

Lots of good info and pictures about the various tracks and F1 fan recipient was very pleased

Good stats about length and track records and location and map but not enough about happenings at the track. would like more in-depth and history to make it a 5 star review.
