Root Perfection

Love Madison root touch up kit. I discovered the brand from a friend when I shared I was concerned about chemicals in my hair dye. I now only purchase this brand. I have stubborn gray but this hair coloring covers it nicely. I have to color roots every 2 weeks as my hair grows fast. it does not damage my hair or leaves that ugly chemical scent. if anything when I do the root touch up my hair actually looks shiny and is very manageable. I have semi curly black hair and this is now my only go to hair coloring product.

Love this product. My hair always looks great after using. The Italian produced product is right up my alley.

I have been using this dye for awhile because it was one of the few I am not allergic to. However, I don't know if they switched formulas because the last time I dyed my hair, my scalp became very irritated and my hair very brittle. It has started to fall out in clumps and the color lasts maybe two weeks if you're lucky. It will wash out afterwards! Do not use this product!

There isn’t much of a chemical smell, but it’s difficult to wash out completely. The next day, my hair still feels a little black when I run my hand through it. I also wish the product had an adjustable dispensing design, so you could squeeze out exactly the amount you need instead of dispensing too much at once.

Over priced, I was so excited to try because I had an event to attend. I used black, the cover was dull and didn't cover all my gray. It was ok, but for the price it didnt meet expectations. I find less expensive safe products more effective. I wouldn't purchase again.

Madison Reed claims to be free from lots of harsh chemicals. However, I have noticed some hair thinning after using their products for a few years. I did some research and they do have substitute chemicals in their products that concern me a bit. The color is great however. It is very easy to use and will absolutely cover your greys.
