Super Hole Saw for Cutting Through Tile to Install Safety Grab Bars
Why did you pick this product vs others?:The product works well cutting a 1-1/4" hole in ceramic tile. Be sure to cool the hole saw with a damp rag a few times while cutting. Run your thumbnail over the edge to make sure the "teeth" aren't becoming clogged with ceramic dust, and if so just use the rag to scrub them clean. I've cut 4 holes so far with no sign of dulling. I have a few more to cut and I think the bit will be able to make all of them before getting dull. It probably wouldn't last that long on porcelain since it's a harder material. I love the removable pilot drill. I first use a regular metal punch to break through the glaze - just a couple of light taps. After that, the pilot drill won't "skate" across the tile. Pilot drill can be removed for cleaning. Great product.

Works well but made of pretty cheap metal
This item caused me quite the headache but it's not really the saw's fault. It works great going through concrete, though the tip fell out immediately and didn't really want to stay secure so I just nixed it. The problem is this is very short overall, and if you're drilling a hole longer than it, you need to find an extension. Problem is, pretty much no extension fits these SDS bits. So, it drills really well, but can also get very stuck in a concrete wall if your extension grinds down the cheap metal shank. Just be careful.

Excellent quality , great on granite
The bit is high-quality and the center guide is amazing. I drill the 11/8 inch hole in one and a half inch thick granite like a piece of cake. I mark a dot with permanent marker that I wanted to make the whole, use the guide bit to drill the hole and scored the circular hole at that point guide drill and continued to make the hole in between drilling for the water and dipped the bit in water as well every 20 seconds or so, and I was able to drill a nice smooth hole and less than five minutes. Good value for money. Excellent quality. My drillbit still looks new..

Perfect!
I needed to drill a hole through my granite countertop for cheap so I could add a dedicated faucet for filtered water. This bit worked perfectly - couldn't beat the price!

Great Buy
I purchased two cutting blocks of glass. It worked well when you followed the instructions to use water, keeping the bit cool. We cut 3 blocks of glass. These cost over $25.00 at Lowe's and Home Depot.

Decent bit but feel it could be better
Decent but feel it could be better. I used this hole saw bit to first cut a hole through the cement board in my laundry room. I then used it to cut a hole in the porcelain tile to accommodate the dryer vent hose. It cut thru the cement board like butter but the tile was a little more resistant. It took about 15 mins to cut thru the porcelain tile. I’m the end, it cut a very clean hole but should it really take 15 mins? Perhaps I was being very careful not to break the tile but it sure seemed to take its time.
