Excellent Accessory for our Lathe
Excellent tool for our bandsaw. Helps maintain the straight cut and easily holds the log so that we are safe.

Good product. Mostly.
It works well with my Laguna 14” bandsaw. I think it is a bit overpriced but I didn’t feel like making my own. Adjusting to different diameter is a bit problematic because the log covers the adjustment knobs meaning you have to remove the log to make the adjustment.

Excellent Jig for Squaring log ends / making log slices
The miter mill by Carter is an excellent tool for a full band saw. The intended use is to square the ends of a log or to make slices from a cut log. Setup of the tool was mostly complete out of the box. I attached the middle set of teeth and adjusted the mill for the size of the log I used. The tool is easy to adjust and fit in the miter groove of my Laguna band saw with ease. One of the pictures (I believe an Elm log) shows the ~1" slices I made. I purchased the AccuRight Log Mill at the same time, however I haven't use that yet. If the quality is the same as this jig, I'm sure I'll be equally pleased. I did watch a few YouTube videos on how people use this jig as it was being shipped to my home. The videos definitely helped. I would recommend this purchase for anyone who has a band saw, wood shop, etc.

I expected a little better quality right out the box
I was pretty excited for this product, it has some weight behind it and the teeth are sharp, however right out of the box I noticed the MDF board and the laminate were cracked, so I was disappointed about it since it came inside another Amazon box and there was padding so I know it was not due to shipping. I do not mind the paint marks but the cracking is definitely something that I wish it had been caught during quality control.

Much better than described
The description is not good enough. It says it will do up to 9" round. I have a ride on 14" 10-326 with a 13" throat opening and this jig will take everything your bandsaw can handle. Because you have to account for height of the jig I was able to cut from 3"-12.5" rounds. Also the wood does not have to fit flat on the jig as long as the teeth are clamped onto the log. I put the adjustment screws toward the front holes so I can slide the teeth beyond the length of the jig. I have no reason to believe it wouldn't cut 15" rounds. I make hundreds of rounds a year and now I can cut with perfection. Set the fence at the proper thickness and away you go. Now I wish I had a bigger band saw.
