I wanted this to work so much--there's really nothing else on the market that displays the time or timer concurrently with the temperature (accurately) in this price range. The LCD on mine only displayed partial numerals unless pressure was applied to it (see pics), which led me to believe there was a display connector problem inside. There was: There is a right-angle, unsoldered, indirect (contact mating) connector between the LCD and the rest of the unit which was misaligned because of a square of adhesive foam stuck to the back of the LCD sticking over the top edge, preventing proper alignment. I moved the foam a little away from the connector, and all is well. I regret not having taken pictures of my disassembly, fix, and reassembly of the display portion of this unit. If you are forced to attempt this (as I was--I really needed this to work immediately--you will need to take some very, very tiny Phillips screws out of the back of the top part of the case, and another 5 micro Phillips-headed screws from the circuit board holding the LCD. Don't forget to re-route the wires running up both sides of the case so that they don't get pinched. Good luck...or just return it.

Wasn’t very accurate (8 degrees off) if left in a pot of water for like beer making stuff for more than a few minutes. I like the magnet and timer function so not all is lost.

Worked for 2 months and died.

Out the package this was amazing. Once put to use it started to malfunction. Screen was turning off and on and then shows me when its not in use it shows the the temperature over 115°f which means I should turn on the ac on in my house in December.

Horrible product that does not come close to an accurate temp. I have asked fo a replacement with no response feom the company. Don't waste your money folks because it is worthless
