These Amazon Basics gold-plated banana plugs are excellent for the price and the number of pairs you get. The quality feels solid and more than good enough for most home setups. I’m not an audiophile with super high-end expectations, but for my 5.1 system they work perfectly. They pair great with my Klipsch speakers and provide a clean, secure connection. They also make it incredibly easy to quickly connect and disconnect speakers, which is a huge plus. Great value and totally worth it.

These are copies of or sourced from the manufacturer of a product 2x the price. They are so good, if these Amazon Basics ones weren't available, I'd pay that higher price in a heartbeat. They secure the speaker wire, thick or thin very well. Sixteen gauge doesn't fall out. 12 gauge has no problems. How about 14/2 solid (not stranded) copper wire: it can do that! The last bananas I purchased that could accomplish that were 50% more expensive for these for only 2 pairs. Complaint: the base of the plug has quite a large opening. This of course is in place to allow thicker wire, still jacketed, into the plug. I'd recommend using shrink tubing around the wire if there is any gap to serve as strain relief.

These AmazonBasics banana plugs work great and are a solid replica of the more expensive Monster and Sewell options. The fit and finish feel good and they make connecting speaker wire to receivers and amps simple. The only real drawback is the appearance of the crimping teeth. They do not look like true 24K gold plating based on the color shade when compared to the plug body, so they lack a bit of the premium look. The plug design itself matches the older Sewell style and is noticeably longer. This works very well with many A V receivers since they insert fully and hold securely. However, with newer equipment that uses shallower banana jack connectors, the plugs will mostly stick out even when fully inserted. The photos show this clearly, where the plugs are connected all the way in but still protrude, which can make the connection feel slightly less stable. Overall they still work well, feel solid, and provide reliable performance. A good value choice if you want dependable banana plugs without paying premium prices.

Love these , don't buy ones with set screws these don't have them.

I bought my first spool of speaker wire back in high school in '97 to splice and lengthen the wires attached to my boom box. I've been a bare-wire guy ever since. Even after buying 3 recievers with binding posts, I still didn't see any reason to nearly double my wire cost when the bare wire works just fine all by itself. I got my 19-year old and 11 years dormant Onkyo surround reciever out of storage and knew I'd have to test all channels before building a system around it. I figured since I was starting from scratch with speaker wire and have never used banana plugs I'd give these a shot. I am SO glad I did. Being able to just shoonk the wire into the posts rather than twisty twisty twisty twisty.....made the testing process much easier and faster. Same with setting the front/rear balance. I liked being able to easily disconnect the negative side on the fronts so I could clearly hear what just the rears are doing, and then just as easily hook the fronts back up. I'm using them with Amazon basics 16-gauge and Install gear 14-gauge. The jacket of the 14 just barely fits in these banana plugs, so keep that in mind if you're using thicker wire. They are indeed shorter than many of the offerings on Amazon, which saves space if your gear is near a wall. My fingers aren't as young and agile as they used to be, so I've been thanking myself for getting these every time I've had to connect or disconnect the wires. The connection feels safer and more secure than bare wire, and they look cool too. If any of your gear has binding posts, I definitely recommend getting a set of these.

I saw some reviews mentioning the plug rotating, but after receiving the plugs, I can confirm that there is a sheath on the plug that spins. The connection is perfect and the spinning sheath does not affect the connection. The sheath holds the plug inside your receiver or speaker and makes sure you have a perfect connection. These Plugs are Awesome and work Great!

I love these banana clips and will buy more if required. The space for inserting the stripped wire is large and the outer piece easily screws on. The actual banana clip fits perfectly into the speaker connector/pole/hole. I would buy it again. Highly recommended!

I did not expect such high quality product for such a low price.. simply superb and really great low price. I'm an Audiophile for last 25 years. I've bought all kinds of banana plugs abroad that are great. But expensive. I needed many to connect 2 home theater systems in the house. So all other options was too expensive. Hence I decided to try this as it was really cheap price. But I'm really impressed: It's very well machined and gold plated for that perfect connection. The only complaint I may have is that 12 guage cable barely fits through the hole (but fits without insulation). Just a niggle. But hardly anyone might be using 12guage... Simply WOW! Buy it... I'd recommend it to all my Audiophile friends.

the design, fit and fnisinsh of these banana clips is perfect. starting from ease of attaching it to your wires to the fit while plugging them into the speaker and AVR terminals which is neither too snug, nor too loose. However, having attached them to both ends of my speaker wires and on playing music and movies through them, there is a very perceivable drop in sound quality. the sensitivity of the speaker has reduced which is in itself evident of transmission loss. this also has an adverse affect on the frequency range and response of the speakers while reproducing sound which now sounds muffled compared to when the speakers were connected through bare wires. I'm planning to get rid off them as the level of dip in sound quality is not worth the otherwise terrific ease of convenience that these banana plugs offer. for reference, i am running a pair of KEF Q350's for the front channels (on Sound Foundations Nemesis stands), a Q-Acoustics Concept Centre Channel and a pair of Bostons Acoustics A26's driven through a Marantz SR6013 AVR and a Marantz PM6006(as a power amp for the KEF Q350s), so the system is transparent enough to easily convey any shortfall in whichever component is introduced into the setup. Update 2020 : decided to reinstall them after all. The convenience over having to screw in bare wires clinched it. I just switched to better wires (Mogami Neglex and QED QX16) so the shortcoming may have been in the amazonbasics wire (or my head; i may very well have been imagining loss os sensitivity) - i think a pink noise test with a spectrometer with the volume knob at a constant position is in order to confirm my suspicions.

Funcionaron para la aplicación que las quería. Puede ser que haya mejores de otras marcas pero estas para el precio te sacan del paso, el tiempo dira que tan duraderas son, ahorita sin moverlas mucho parece que durarían puestas todo el tiempo que sea necesario, el detalle con este tipo de componentes es que cuando los empiezas a mover más es cuando empiezan a dar lata, esperemos no sea el caso. De momento los recomiendo en general.
