Excellent Training device for super focused dogs
I bought this after all my other methods of training & correcting my GSD werenโt able to snap him out his hyper focused state to redirect him. Heโs a good dog, one of the best Iโve had but refining his behavior / obedience skills was mediocre at best. After some weighing of different methods I got this. It is a game changer! Just a very quick snap (not too much force is needed - the collar does all the work) and my 2 year old GSD snaps out of his hyper focused or distracted attention and looks to me for whatโs next. No more wandering off into the bushes to chase the ducks that drive him nuts, ignoring my whistle or tug on his martingale collar. He needed a more โbite likeโ sensation like a leader dog would do when ignored and this does it! Make sure you fit it properly, and only use it when on walks, actively under supervision during training sessions, and donโt leave it on them all the time as a regular collar. Itโs just to help give a more clear correction versus constant nagging. The quick release buckle is secure, and great for those who have hand dexterity issues like arthritis. Links are able to be added or removed or added as needed for proper fit. If you do have hand dexterity concerns, you might need someone to help you with removing the links. I didnโt find it difficult, but my hands were swollen and tired from working with dogs all day and my arthritis was acting up - so trying to remove the last link took a couple of minutes, so be aware if you struggle. Once the fit is right and you no longer need to mess with the links and the quick release buckle makes taking it on and off between sessions or walks as easy as taking off a collar. The little guard that slides over the button prevents it from accidentally unlatching. As you should use this alone without another collar you definitely want it to stay on securely if youโre not indoors - and this helps to do that. This works great when used correctly. Already my GSD has a more consistent heel, better self-control when he sees other dogs (he wants to play and acts like a lunatic with his GSD barking which we hadnโt been able to get more improvement on until this). He responds positively to the corrections in conjunction with concurrent verbal corrections so now after just a week we rarely have to work the Herm Sprenger - he simply takes the verbal corrections/ cue. We bought the 20โ neck size, as he is 18โ neck, and ended up removing 3 links to make it a snug but not tight fit without the martingale part tight. So a very subtle flick of the finger or wrist on the least can create just enough pressure in the high part of the neck / head that he responds immediately. Great product and glad I bought it

Game Changer, Work Great!
Our 54lb 14 month old Goldendoodle was a strong puller, even for my husband. I tried many different collars and was hesitant to try a prong, mainly because I did not understand how to properly fit them and how they worked. Our trainer recommended the prong (after my many collar purchases to try & avoid a prong). In diligently doing my research I chose the Herm Sprenger. Be very selective on quality, donโt be cheap, learn how to properly fit & handle your dog with one. I was concerned about how they work and watched a lot of videos on proper fit & use along with our trainer. This was a game changer, she is doing great! This is a training tool and will not be a forever collar. This tool helps teach her to understand what the pressure means when she pulls on leash. She does great with it, it is comfortable for her and when properly fitted will not slide down, around or be near the dogs trachea area. Your dog will learn to walk loose leash and they will self correct with gentle pressure NOT choking. You DO NOT pull on your dog they will self correct. We got the quick release for easy on off, 2.25 cm prongs, stainless steel and size small worked wonderful on her. MUST be fitted behind ears & jawline not where normal collars ride. We also bought a back up attachment to attach to her regular collar or harness in case prong collar released so you do not loose your dog. Watch for the real Herm Sprenger made in Germany prongs are nicely rounded and smooth unlike sharp after market. The Herm Sprenger is more expensive but so worth it! Highly recommend, make sure & educate yourself how to fit & use. Lots of good dog trainers on YouTubeteaching on use & proper fit.

Works very well w-my Pembroke Corgi! A++
The best brand of prong collar I have used; 99% effective with the martingale chain concept to control the dog natural behavior to do the right disciplined thing on my order commands. We have a male Pembroke Corgi closed to a 1 year old with late disobedient training and free roaming attitude on my wife/kid's care taking and watch. He's sociable from time to time but has that strong male dominant behavior character toward the father of the house with his aggressiveness and demands; likes to bite! It took a week after I got this quality prong collar into used and introduced it to him was a challenged at first but a game changer while he was curious about want to go outside for a walk around the neighborhood. Herm Sprenger was compared to other competition brand out there on the market. It's pricey but effective! This German made product is simple, strong, and smooth design; nothing fancy to hide (Just remember it's a training tool and NOT a 24/7 dog collar.) I bought the 2.25mm for our little buddy with neck size around 14 inches for his grown aged. It doesn't hurt the dog with the smooth finished prong. Herm Sprenger company and professional dog trainers out there recommended use snug fit and it's a training tool. A pop on the leash training action is like it's mother nipping it's neck for a corrective response action. Very effective while it does the job getting the dog's attention quick and later reward with a treat. This made our dog accepted his new quick discipline behavior which I can adore having a mutt in the house whole. Thank You Herm Sprenger!

I just found an effective training tool, along side with professional dog trainer advise.
As a dog owner dealing with behavior issues, I understand the importance of finding effective training tools. After extensive research and consultation with a professional trainer, I decided to try out this Prong Collar for Dog. Firstly, let's address the effectiveness. This prong collar has been instrumental in correcting my dog's pulling behavior during walks. The gentle yet firm pressure applied by the prongs helps to communicate boundaries to my dog without causing any harm. With consistent use and proper training techniques, I've noticed significant improvement in my dog's leash manners. Additionally, the durability of this prong collar is commendable. It's constructed from high-quality materials that withstand daily use and maintain their integrity. The links are securely fastened, ensuring that the collar stays intact even during moments of strong pulling. Furthermore, the adjustable design ensures a comfortable fit for my dog. It's important to note that proper sizing and fitting are crucial to ensure the effectiveness and safety of the prong collar. I appreciate the included instructions that guide owners on how to properly fit and use the collar. However, despite its effectiveness, the prong collar may not be suitable for all dogs. It's essential to consider your dog's temperament and individual needs before using such a training tool. Additionally, proper training techniques and supervision are necessary to ensure the well-being of your pet. In conclusion, this Prong Collar for Dog has been a valuable tool in my journey to improve my dog's behavior. When used responsibly and in conjunction with positive reinforcement techniques, it can be an effective aid in training. I recommend it to dog owners seeking a solution for leash pulling and other behavior issues, but always with the caveat of proper education and supervision.

Durable and Easy to use
Works perfectly fine, I have a 7 months old Pitbull and she definitely strikes like a bull, but both pulling and reactiveness with dogs have definitely decreased since I started using this collar, I highly recommend it!

Made well, works as described
Quality metal, well made, does what I need for my dog to walk nicely, not pull, and quick correct as necessary. Working with trainer who adjusted size properly. Trainer emphasized this is just for training and walks, not a full-time wear collar. For me, only con is the quick release clip that doesn't work well with my arthritis & imo could be made better. It has a slide cover to cover the button you press to release the clasp.

Wow! Great collar to train my Malinois
I bought a $10 good prong collar I was happy about but after reading about Herm Sprenger, I decided to give it a try and I am amazed by the difference. I got the small and bought extra links and it works perfect. I got the 3.2 medium but this smaller one works better for me and I returned the medium one. I removed one star as the black plastic from the buckle got lost within 2 weeks. They still need to work on a better lock system.

Easy to put on
Had one before but the clasp broke after 7 years. Easier than older style. So far works great

A little big for my dog, so I returned it for a smaller size.. same collar..
Awesome quality. Great product.. But it was too big for my dog.. When I took out enough prongs to fit him.. there was only 4 left on the collar.. So I have returned it.. Ordered the same brand because according to trainers.. it's the only brand to buy. I am getting my replacement tomorrow.. so I will write on it.. Would buy this brand again, it is strong, well made and awesome..
