Surprisingly Good Mini Multi-Arcade
As a longtime MAME enthusiast and custom arcade cabinet modder and builder, I was pleasantly surprised with the My Arcade Data East Hits Micro Player with 308 games. The games are all playable, it has a usb-c port for power without batteries, using four AA batteries lasts a LONG time, it has volume buttons and a headphone jack. It's also tough. We got this three years ago for our at the time four-year-old and it's withstood dropping and rough use (he did peel off the marquee sticker at some point). The packaging is very nice and if you are purchasing as a collectable and want to keep it NIB, it will look nice on your shelf with rest of your sadly non-played My Arcade units. The game selection isn't an all-star lineup of arcade greats, with a lot of weird titles mixed in, but it was interesting to play games I've never seen and my kids didn't care if they were big in the 80's or not. Pro-tip: To power on the arcade, PUSH IN the little fake coin insert box below the control panel. You may want to also apply a tiny bit of Loctite to the joystick screw or just take it off...or superglue it in, if you really want it to stay. Due to size, I found some of the games more playable without the joystick and just using the D-Pad, but YMMV. At $30, it's well worth the price for potentially thousands of hours of gameplay for gamers young and old.

Nice if you don't own the older micros this collects.
I understand if you own all the other older Data East micro players you may not care for this unit. But there are games like B-Wings and Side Pocket that aren't on dedicated micro players. So, there is something new here. If you were thinking of getting one of the older DE players, this one has them all in one. Seems like a no brainer. (These are all the NES version of the games, BTW) As for the "Bonus" games, they mostly suck, but not as bad as other cheap units I've seen. They seem to have a little more polish. Title screens, pretty much everything is "playable". Curly Monkey 1 and 2 are fun, actually. If you ever had any of the older My Arcade/Gream Gear players, you've seen these 300 games before. So, you may find it fun that they got included in this form factor. Display wise, its neato. It's bright purple and the same size as the older ones. It has a USB C power port now. It feels like the same buttons and d-pad/joystick to me. At any rate, it look nice with the other models. If you're looking for more Data East games and the Arcade versions of those games, they do sell a Data East Mini arcade that you might like instead. As long as you know what you're getting, this DE micro player isn't a bad unit to own.

Data East games are not the arcade ROMS
I should have looked at the reviews a little closer. The other games are mostly not worth it. But I knew that. What I didn't know is the main Data East games are not the arcade versions. From what I can tell, they are the Nintendo home system versions of the games. It's a small unit and not that expensive, so I am deciding to keep it. But I would probably purchase the larger version that has the actual Arcade ROMS. I might still buy that version and may eventually give this away as a gift.

Not exactly what i wanted
Ok this little thing it pretty cool and yes, the other games outside of the first 8 are useless... my issue is that I mainly got this because of Heavy Barrel and for some reason, which I cant imagine, it doesn't have the cool audio like the real game did! Where is the HEAVY BARREL! voice??? Come on, in 2023 I think you could add the little voice that the real game has.

Fast and undamaged shipment
Fast shipping was satisfied and the product works I am okay with my order. Operating the game and respondings were slow well what do you respect from miniature like this. It looks good as display though.

Unless you are a collector, avoid.
Unless you are a collector, avoid. Not that fun. You get 4 or 5 actual NES emulated games, the other 300+ are complete garbage that I wouldn't even call 'games'. They are the equivalent of a high school programming class coding project. Plus the games you get are identical to the nes roms of the units previously released a few years ago with the same titles. Blah. I have the entire micro collection and am very disappointed with the last three titles for the price.
