Great overall collar, even at the $30 version
This is a great training and everyday e-collar. I have a Belgian Malinois. Now, the E-collar is not the end-all be-all, but it's a great reinforcement tool. We don't have a fenced yard, but with 5 acres, he rarely leaves the property and he has great recall, when he wants to... The Collar helped us reinforce the boundaries of the property. The beep is nice to get his attention when he's fixated on a squirrel, or a new smell, or otherwise using that patented "selective hearing" mechanism. With ears as big as his, you know he can hear a mole 2 feet underground, but when he doesn't want to come inside? Yeah, totally deaf... The beep gets his attention though, at least enough to look up at me across the yard. Then he either starts a slow mosey back toward the house or he gives me a look to let me know he heard me the first time before he purposely turns his back and goes back to whatever is currently fascinating him more than mom.At that point, another call "Foxx Here!" with a quick vibrate usually tells him that I mean it... I really want to go inside. Maybe *I* have to go to the bathroom, or whatever. And then he'll usually come back, but not always. We rarely actually have to use the shock option. We've trained with a recall, followed by "3...2...1". He's learned that if he's still actively igorning us by 1, there may be a shock, so usually he doesn't let it get past 2 before he's trotting back, slighly irratable at having been interrupted. The collar fits snugly, better than the first patpet collar we got, with better adjustability and 2 sets of prong types, plus additional connections that could be added for larger dogs/heavier coats. The device part is much less bulky than our original, which was a square box on the collar. This one is very slim in comparison. The collar usually lasts 3-4 days between charges, the remote can last weeks. The remote has adjustability in the level of shock from something you can barely feel in your palm to...well, the dog was chasing a skunk and my hubby turned it up a few notches from normal in his panic and poor Foxxy made a bit of a yelp and turned right back to us (thank God). Usually we have it on a level that he doesn't yelp, even when shocked, though it does get his attention. We have taken him to the dog park where he's run through streams, though we take it off if he's going swimming. He's been out in the rain with it without issues, running and rolling in wet grass, etc.

Worth the money!
These last about 2 years with our dog - but they are worth every penny - we have a largeProperty but we are on a busy road - most times she recalls with the beep or the vibrate but when she locks into something and runs toward the road the shock is literally a life saver

Works great for our Golden Retriever!
This collar fits our Golden Retriever really well and is very easy to use. It has three training options: beep, vibration, and static stimulation. So far, weโve only needed to use the vibration mode. Even after the first few uses, our dog started responding to the vibration and listening to commands much better. We havenโt even needed to use the static mode. The remote is simple and convenient to use. Very happy with it so far, especially for a larger dog.

Good product. Wish it had longer battery life on the collar.
Our family really enjoys this product as it helped train our dog to stop barking in the middle of the night or when we had company over. Itโs very easy to use very easy to charge. My only downside is that the battery does not last that long on the collar, even if you only use it for a few times once your dog is trained.

Not consistent or reliable
This thing is so spotty! I'm guessing it's because they configured it to try to save battery life by sleeping if inactive for a certain amount of time? But half the time the shock feature doesn't work. Like, when you need it critically, for training. Even the beep and vibrate don't work all the time - the system seems to sleep, wake up by pressing the beep button, and then you have to press it again to actually beep or whatever other option you want, now that it's awake. I would not recommend this system to anyone.

Game changer! Great for training, bad behavior, stopping digging, and getting used to cats!
So, I resisted getting one of these a long time because Iโm very humane with my pets, and was just ignorant about the whole topic and didnโt think it was necessary to try to stop a dogs natural behavior to bark. Iโve had a lot of pets over my lifetime, and never needed this type of item. That was โ until I adopted an Aussie-mix spitfire of a dog with barky all day, non-stop destructive, hyper energy! (If we donโt exercise her for hours daily, she tears everything up.)This collar has so many benefits and features, it is well worth it! We never even have to use the shock feature, and itโs already helped us train our aussie herding dog to curb digging behavior, stop chasing our inside cats, and to stop barking at the neighborhood kids non stop, and barking constantly at people on walks. Iโve also used it to stop her from eating my plants and landscape items outside so she can learn which sticks are okay, and that my forsythia shrub is โnot okayโ to chew.Pro tip>Get yourself a lanyard to hook this to make it wearable. Now, all I have to do is show my dog I have the lanyard around my neck and she behaves! (Again, I havenโt even had to use the shock feature). She just knows what it means and that I can follow her behavior more closely. We had an auto bark collar first before this that I tried, and my dog didnโt care at all. With that other one, even on level 5/highest level she kept barking even though it buzzed and vibrated. For some reason, she is was better with this PatPet collar, because of the controller I think and she knows I can press the button more unpredictably. If you see your dog digging, you can warn them with the beep and vibrate. If they lunge or bark on walks, you can use it to keep them better behaved and train better behavior. It was great redirecting our aussie with our indoor cats too. When she went to chase them or lunge towards them, weโd beep and then vibrate if she continued. Now, she pretty much ignores them for the most part. This collar has been well worth the price, I highly recommend it! Within about 6 months of more consistent use, we often go weeks without using it, but when bad behavior stats up - we simply use it again and our dog is back to her good behavior. We do make sure to take it off when inside resting and at night for comfort, and we donโt use it at all when she is doing well behavior wise. The charge lasts a long time.We also tested it on our older dog when he gets extra barky, and he hated just the vibrate feature. Now all I have to do is just show him the collar, and he stops the outside constant barking. Heโs a sweet old guy who doesnโt need it though! Overall, solid, great purchase!

Worth the money . Bought multiple
Long lasting , loud enough for dog and you to hear , vibrates hard enough where if you donโt want to shock your dog , you donโt have to . Lowest vibration will make your dog listen instantly. Was able to remove prongs so you donโt shock them on accident.

Good for short term needs
This worked well for about the first month and then the battery would not take charge and I had to get a new unit completely, since we were in the midst of training our puppy this put a kink in things.

Great product
My family and I are extremely happy with the PATPET dog shock collar and remote. I have an 8 months old and all he did would bite, chewโธโธโธ on everything.Ever since I bought this collar he is listening, I can train him better and I haven't had to use the shock mode or the vibrate just the beep sound.I would definitely be telling my friends and family about this.I have another dog and would love to buy just and extra call that would work with this remote.

Easy to use and effective
This training collar was easy to set up and charge. The remote responds quickly and the range is good even outside. The waterproof collar is useful for walks in rainy weather. My dog reacted well to the sound and vibration settings. Overall, Iโm satisfied with this purchase.
