I got one for my bathroom and loved the minimalism of it so put one in my very narrow upstairs landing. The light it gives off is great… so much so I can see every flaw in my hallway so needing to redecorate now 😅

Very easy to install, just screw bracket to ceiling, connect wires then push light onto bracket and twist to secure it. Easy. Very bright and seems well made. Hope it lasts longer than previous one in the bathroom.

This is great fanlight. Easy to assemble and nice and quiet even on speed 6. BUT.. I've knocked off a star for the misleading video, which does not show how most uk lighting circuits actually are. If you unscrew your old light fitting rose cover what you will find under it is highly unlikely to be a blue and a red wire as seen in the video! You're more likely to find a looped live set which will entail quite a few more wires to find homes for. You're also quite likely to find red, black and and earth wires. The problem is that this ceiling rose connection plate (see photo) will have to be removed in order to fit the fan-light bracket to the ceiling. Generally on a looped live setup you are likely to find three reds from three cables all joined together in a connection block in the rose. They don't connect to your old light or your new fan... just to each other. (Although one of them will provide power to the wall switch). Then there are three blacks, two of which you'll find are connected together and are the common/neutral for your light or fan. A third black will be connected to the other side of your light/fan, this is the switched live (from the other side of your wall switch). So what I'm saying is, be prepared to buy 'chocolate block' connectors to accommodate all these wires so that you can remove the ceiling rose connection plate. Another observation - you will probably need longer screws than those supplied. You may not be able to make use of all four screw holes on the bracket - a trip to the loft might reveal you will have to attach the bracket to a two inch wide rafter so you'll only be able to use the two central screw holes in the bracket. The video also cheats a bit by telling you to connect the control box to the fan, BEFORE connecting the control box to the bracket. That would mean supporting the weight of the entire fan while making final connections - something you won't have to do, because you can hang the fan on the bracket first, before making any of these connections. Anyway despite all this, it's a great fan and I'm glad I bought it. The super bright light that has been mentioned is irrelevant really, because it can be dimmed right down and remembers the last dimming setup.

I've bought 2 now. 2nd one didn't even need the balancing weights. Effective in these heatwaves for a good night's sleep and silent below setting 4. I can confirm that the remote controls are independent of each other so you won't be turning on more than one fan with each remote.

Not as easy to fit as some reviews state The first problem was how to remove the fitting plate from the light, there was no mention in the instructions, eventually I found out that it is by twisting it out, however it needed a lot of twisting and I was worried I was going to break the fitting The second point to consider is that this design requires a perfectly flat ceiling, mine wasn’t so it took a long time to get the light to fit into the lug of the bracket, and even then it wobbles a bit The light is very bright, and excellent for the money, but be aware you may find fitting a little tricky

Chosen as it was an item that looked to do what it says and it does. Comprehensive instructions made it easy to fit, (purchased as a replacement) and is almost totally silent in fan mode operation. The lighting which could be altered or toned in intensity is an attractive feature. Remote control made life simpler, especially when operating it from bed.
