I needed to make bird-shaped shortbread biscuits for a children’s event. I selected this cutter as I did not want the birds to be too ‘cute’. I was very pleased by the result, though the birds came out a bit bigger than I wanted- it meant I got fewer out of the dough than I expected- but easily recognisable. I didn’t try decorating them in any way. Because of the size and shape, I could only cut a few out before needing to re-form and re-roll the dough. The narrowness of the legs makes that a delicate area, a couple of my biscuits lost their feet, but that was because I’d rolled the dough a bit thinner than I’d meant to. The kids ate them anyway!

What a beautiful cookie cutter! Someone at work promised to eat crow if an idea worked. It did, so we needed a cookie cutter! It is sturdy, dishwasher safe, very nicely shaped, and came in good packaging in a timely manner. Very happy!
