Clean-Tasting Water and PFAS Filtration
We’ve been very happy with this water filter pitcher. The water tastes noticeably clean and fresh, and it’s reassuring to know it filters out PFAS — something many water filters don’t usually address. We change the filter about every three months, and it’s very easy to swap out. I also subscribed directly through LifeStraw to have replacement filters sent automatically every three months, which makes maintenance simple and hassle-free. The pitcher feels well made and thoughtfully designed, and the filtration gives real peace of mind when it comes to drinking water quality. You can actually taste the difference, especially compared to basic carbon filters. Overall, this is a great option if you’re looking for cleaner-tasting water and more advanced filtration than standard pitchers.

They honor their warranty!
I bought this pitcher in September 2023 and have really liked it! The water tastes great to me and I like the ethos of the Lifestraw brand. It filters the water a little slower than other filters I've used in the past but that doesn't really bother me much as a single person household. I have just made a habit of always filling it again after I have used it for a glass of water or to make tea. Like many others in these reviews it started leaking from the base seam about a month ago April-ish 2024. I contacted Lifestraw on their normal website and they replaced it for me. They sent me a whole new pitcher and filter housing which was really nice. I was only expecting the outer pitcher part. For those who were not aware they have a 3 year warranty! Just make sure you purchase this from Amazon LLC and not a third party seller. I do hope they work on this design flaw with the plastic models. The glass version was my ideal pitcher as I try to not use plastic much in my kitchen but I can be clumsy and was afraid I would break that one so I went with the plastic version.

Bad practices.
New buyers beware, the instructions included in the box are incomplete, and in some cases different than instructions found on the lifestraw youtube channel (because yes, that seems reasonable) and a single PDF I found on their website AFTER ruining my first filter after a mere week of use. According to instructions in the box, for long term storage leave the filters in and DISCARD the water. That seems like a recipe for mold to me but I was only planning on not using it for a couple days so I didnt worry about that. Well the membrane filter COMPLETELY dried out and is now ruined. According to the ONLINE instructions, what I should have done is make a saline solution and leave the membrane filter in that. I'm sure this is purposeful, to make you need to buy more filters. There are other discrepancies in the instructions but I feel this is the most major one as it completely ruins the filter making it unusable. Currently the filter has been sitting on my table for the past 2 hours AFTER my attempts to "re-hydrate" it, and it hasnt passed a single drop through. Shame, because if it wasnt for this garbage companies bad faith, it'd be a good product.

Great water filter pitcher!
I think it is great. I rinsed the filters and installed them and right away it quickly filtered the water, a nice slow steady stream, not an agonizingly slow drio by anymeans. When I pour water out I add water back in right then so it is always ready to go. I have had no issues and been using this pitcher for about 3 months. Only good things to say about it.

Great alternative for former Berkey user
I purchased a plastic one and a glass one. I prefer my family use glass when possible, but with 2 kids aged 10 and 12, I figured plastic would be best for them to use for now... Our family goes through about 2 gallons of water a day. I purchased 2 of these instead of the large capacity one, due to all the terrible reviews about leaky spouts on the large capacity one. Plus these are far more attractive in the kitchen than that one. I bought the plastic pitcher on Amazon, the glass one at a competitor. The one I received from Amazon had been opened and handled previously. I can tell, b/c the one I received from the competitor still had protective sticky plastic on the top, and items within the box were put together correctly. Unfortunately I received the competitor's pitcher after I had already started using the Amazon one. I'm glad I used soap to wash the outside of the filter container as opposed to just rinsing with water, as directed! (i did not use soap on the inner part of the filter housing) Going through 2 gallons a day (school bottles, coffee, baseball, both adults working from home...) means, at minimum, I am refilling each pitcher about 7 times a day. (the inner compartment, not the actual pitcher). Yes, it's time consuming, but worth it, in my opinion. I work from home and have the time to refill often. But, I guess if I weren't at home, we wouldn't be going through as much water at home, so it would be fine either way... You're supposed to replace the carbon filter every 40 gallons. Using 2 pitchers, consuming 2 gallons a day, ours is every 40 days (every 20 days if we were only using 1 pitcher). I imagine the 2 month estimate is based on a single person's use. Yes, the filtering process takes time. But, as a former 12-year Berkey user, we're used to that. And especially with 2 pitchers, it isn't an issue for us. We can use one while the other is filling up. I can't tell the difference in taste between this and the Berkey water we used to drink. But my son did and said it "tastes delicious." The wisteria and seafoam colors are lovely, and I really enjoy the change from the big stainless berkey we had The silicone gaskets are different between the plastic and glass pitchers I got. Not sure if that's b/c one is an older model (I would assume the Amazon one that had been opened and returned) or if it's just different between the glass and plastic models. Doesn't affect performance, just an observation. Took off a star based on Amazon sending me an opened and handled product (kind of an ick factor when dealing with a water filter situation).

The LifeStraw filtered water jug is a solid choice for those looking for clean, great-tasting water on a daily basis. The filter does an excellent job of purifying water, leaving it tasting fresh and clear, without any of the usual aftertaste from tap water or bottles. It’s incredibly easy to use and does a great job of reducing contaminants, making it a reliable option for everyday hydration. My only real disappointment is the container itself—while functional, it’s not made of glass, which would have been a nice touch. A glass design would have felt more premium and sustainable compared to the plastic construction. Nevertheless, the jug is durable and does the job well, making it a great investment for improving your water quality without the need for single-use bottles. I am a picky water drinker and prefer bottled water but this tastes great and I approve!
