TotalMount Airport Extreme Mounting Kit (Not Compatible with Newest Generation)

I wasn't sure how to mount the refurbished Airport Extreme I purchased. Then I found this bracket and it does the job just fine. There are other mounting brackets available that have provisions to hold the cables. When I get around to it I will get get some cable/wire brackets to keep slack/unstressed connections. For now I just slipped the cables behind the mount.

I hate clutter, and particularly hate having to try and find space on a surface for something like a wireless router. I dug around looking for different wall mounts for my Airport Extreme and settled on TotalMount, even though I hadn't physically seen it beyond a few pictures on Amazon. It turns out that it was a good choice.Pros:- It's easy to install, requiring no special equipment.- If you put the router with the light facing the floor, there's enough space between the mount and the wall to accommodate the power cord and any Ethernet / USB cables you may have attached.- It comes with a power cord mount as well to help deal with cord clutter.Cons:- If you insert the router in the mount with the cable connections facing the floor, you can't see the status light for the router. This is sort of a moot point, though, because the most current AirPort management software automatically opens on your computer to let you know there's a problem when one crops up.My suggestion: If you're like me and don't like to see wires dangling from an object on the wall, go get a wire hider to tuck the the power and Ethernet cables away. It'll have a more aesthetic appeal. Of course, if you're really handy you can just run the wires through the wall, but this may not be an option if you are a renter.

I wanted to place an access point in an area that wasn't conducive to sitting flat on a normal shelf. Instead I was able to mount it on a stairwell ceiling without a lot of fuss and worked great!

Does the job of securing mounting an older Airport Extreme router to the wall. Seems a tad expensive to me, but it is a specialty item.

This has to be one of my favorite organizational computer accessory tools I have ever purchased. I mounted it to the underside of my desk so it was easily accessible, out of the way, and hidden from the naked eye. The cords wrap around the unit making them easy to control and no web of cords to deal with behind the computer desk and in the corner of the wall that we all hate to look at, especially when we need something unplugged. This is a necessary purchase for any AirPort Extreme user.

It's is a well made bracket and fits the AirPort Extreme perfectly. This product also includes a mount for the power supply, which I didn't see with any of the others. A nice touch is the slight stand-off on the power supply mount that is there so you can wrap your excess cord around it instead of having it dangle or having to otherwise tie it up - a very nice design feature that makes this product that much nicer. Good quality screws were included - no stripping despite the very hard wood I was screwing into. 5 stars all the way.

It got the job done, but I feel like I paid more for the packaging than I did the actual mount. Also, why no plastic wall anchors? You lose a star just for that!

The total mount arrived as expected. It looked just like the pictures onamazon. Installation was very simple and it securely holds the airportextreme to the wall. The included power supply mount is very useful forcord management as well. The mount itself is very sturdy and matches thecolor of the airport perfectly. At half the price of similar mounts, I amextremely satisfied. Depending on your particular application, you may want to consider drywall anchors as the airport extreme is rather heavy and the supplied hardware only comes with screws.
